Boys Flag Rugby Practice: will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday after school this week.  Please bring cleats and water.  Be ready to start warm up at 3:00pm! (JD Oct. 2)

Looking for a place to work on your math homework?  How about working with a math teacher and getting some additional practice/ support?  Need more of a challenge in math?  Math Munchers is back!  Bring your lunch to room 237 Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  Please get a pass from your math teacher to attend. 7-8 Girls Volleyball: All 7-8 girls interested in trying out for this year's volleyball team are asked to sign up outside room 332 before Friday of this week. Tryouts will be held Tuesday September 29th and Wednesday September 30th, from 3-4pm in the Caf. gym. (JB Sept. 30)

7/8 Cross- Country Running: Grade 7/8 cross-country try-outs have started.  We are practicing Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school.  Make sure you've signed up on the list outside Mme Kinloch's classroom.  The meet is October 1st. (JK Oct. 1)

Curling Team: There will be an information meeting for all students (male or female) interested in participating in the high school curling teams this year.  The meeting will be at 11:30am on Tuesday, October 6th in the Dance Studio.  All students who want to be considered for try-outs MUST attend.  Please see Mrs. Donaghy or Mrs. Robinson if you have any questions. Business Competition! Compete in the annual High School Perfect Pitch Competition held at Ottawa University on October 28th.  Help us defend our title!  (Mother Teresa students have won four years running!!!)  Get more info and pick up your permission form in room 216 or 213. There will be a meeting at lunch on Wednesday, September 30 for all students interested in designing and creating costumes for Peter Pan, and a meeting on Thursday, October 1 for students interested in designing, building and painting sets for Peter Pan. Driver Education Registration forms are now available in Student Services. Sign up quickly as class sizes are limited.  Classes start at MTHS on Wednesday, October 21st from 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm.  Students must be at least 16 years of age and have a G1 license prior to October 19, 2015. Fee is $673.48 You may register online at www.fallconnections.com or by mailing/dropping off the registration form to the Continuing Education Department (570 West Hunt Club Road) or by calling 613-228-3338 to register with VISA or MasterCard. Just a reminder that Thursday September 24th we will be having our grade 9-12 program night at Mother Teresa High School. The evening begins at 6:30 p..m. in the cafeteria gym, followed by an opportunity to meet your child's teacher and discuss the curriculum. You will be following your child's timetable, so we ask that you are aware of his/her schedule. We will also be set up in the atrium from 6:00- 6:30 to distribute schedules if necessary. Are you a charismatic grade 9-12 student who would like to help your grade 7 peers with hard topics like stress management, school involvement and conflict resolution through restorative practices? If so, you should join the Peer Helpers! Time commitment: 1 day/week (either a meeting or an activity day)

Cappies 2015/2016 - Excellent turn out for nine spots on the Cappies' team.  Interested NEW students are asked to write a 300 word review of a recent film and submit it to Mrs. Simpson or Sarah Priscus in Rm 138 next Friday, September 18 by lunch.  If you have questions, please feel free to stop by. Good luck and happy writing!  I will post this year's team sometime after the reviews have been submitted.

LF volunteers at the St. Patrick's Parish Hall on Steeple Hill Crescent for their Fall Harvest Supper on Sunday,September 27th, between the hours of  4pm and 8pm  You need to provide your own transportation to and from the event.  Come at least 30 minutes ahead of the shift you choose.  You do not need to work the full 4 hours.  You will be expected to clear and reset tables, help package the take out meals, pour juice etc.  You will not be ​responsible for serving any hot food or beverages.  For further information, please see Mrs. Watkinson in Student Services.  We need to confirm names prior to September 24th.  Thank you.
