ALARM SPECIAL!!  Starting February 8th, every Monday and Tuesday you will have a chance to win your lunch for free! An alarm will be set to go off sometime over Junior or Senior lunch and if you are the lucky student standing at the cash when it does then your entire lunch order is on us! All you have to do is be in line at the right time! Good luck!

TOONIE DAZE AT THE CAF!! Starting January 31st, every Monday we will be showcasing lunch items and snacks for only $ 2. We will also be upgrading our daily special to include fries or a drink & snack for only $ 2 extra!! (JM –Feb 1)

7/8 GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM: There will be try-outs for the grade 7/8 girls basketball team on Tuesday and Wednesday after school, February 1 and 2nd from 3:10-4:15.  Please sign up outside the 7/8 phys ed office. (EM –Feb 2)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

GIRLS FUTSAL: Any high school girl who is interested in playing Futsal (indoor soccer) is invited to try-out on Thursday February 3rd, from 3 – 4:30 pm.  Please meet in the caf gym ready to go! (SM –Feb 3)

JR BOYS VOLLEYBALL: There is a practice on Thursday, February 3rd after school.  (EM –Feb 3)

High School students are reminded to return their textbooks, pay any outstanding fees and bring back any materials that they owe to the school prior to the beginning of second semester in order to ensure that they are eligible to receive report cards and second semester textbooks. Students with outstanding items will NOT be issued textbooks or report cards until those items are cleared. (CB –Feb 3)

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS AVAILABLE: If you would like to get four hours of community service work right here at Mother Teresa High School this Saturday evening from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. please see Mrs. Landry in the main office for details. (KL –Feb 4)

GIRLS RUGBY PLAYERS: Any High School girls who are interested in playing on the team this year are asked to come to a meeting on Monday February 7 at lunch in the dance studio. Peter will be here to say hi. Practices will begin soon - see you there! (CB –Feb 7)

clip_image012DRIVER’S ED: Driver Education Program Information and Registration Forms for Winter 2011 are in Student Services.  Students may register either by mailing/dropping off the registration form to the Continuing Education Department (570 West Hunt Club Road), or by having a parent call 613 228-3338 to register with Visa or MasterCard payment. Open to all secondary school students who are at least 16 years of age and have a G1 license (prior to February 28, 2011).  Registration is open from January 17th - February 18th.  First class starts March 2nd from 3:15pm to 6:00pm. (KW –Feb 18)

clip_image002CAFETERIA NEWS: The servery doors will be open from 7:30am - 8:50am and again from 9:30am - 11:30am.  Lunch items will be available for purchase anytime after 10:30am. Check out some upcoming promos too!  Here’s what’s on at the caf during exam week.

  • Breakfast Specials:
    • French Toast with Maple Syrup $ 2.29
    • Western Sandwich on whole wheat toast (egg, bacon, onion, green pepper) $2.50 *add cheese for $0.69
    • Omelettes:  Vegetarian $2.25, Meatlovers $2.75
    • Bagels: BLT  $2.75, Sunshine(egg, bacon, cheese) $2.89, Bagel w/ Cream Cheese $1.79
