U of Waterloo Euclid Contest for Grade 12’s: There will be an important meeting TODAY, in Mrs. Belloni's room (302), for students interested in writing the Euclid contest in April. You must register in order write the contest. Meeting will start at 12:00 noon.

Red Maple Club: Red Maple Club meets TODAY at 12:30.

Congratulations: 16 Mother Teresa students were honoured by the Barrhaven branch of the Royal Canadian Legion this week as award winners in the poem, poster and essay contests for Remembrance Day.

Grade 7 and 8 winners included Jennifer Zimmer, Alexander Batitis, Jannifer Gabel, Sarah Wilgress, Nathan Obas, Samantha Salvatore, Catherine Wong, Joshua Hillock and Amanda Petrilli. Jelena Zuric and Leandra Tolusso moved on to first place in the Ottawa zone, with Stephanie Ranger in second place.

In the high school Kyle Powell, Laura Kluska, Anne Benyon and Sydney Hopkins won awards, with Kyle moving on to first place in the zone with his poem and Laura in second place for her poster. Congratulations to all the participants!

Hockey Team: Please excuse the members of the Hockey team at 2:15 TODAY for their game against Ashbury at the Barbara Ann Scott arena (game starts at 4:00 p.m).

Free Throw Championship: All boys and girls ages 10 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level competition for the 2006 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The local competition will be held Saturday, January 21st at St. Luke Catholic School, 60 Mount Shannon Drive. Participation is free of charge to all. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., or forms can be picked up TODAY at the main office front counter here at M.T.

Reach For The Top:
"I am Spartacus" faces "Rogers Wireless Terminology" in the final game of Round Two today at lunch. Will Mr. Hallarn put forth another spectacular performance? Come witness the mayhem in Room 200. If you have the TRIVIA fever, the only prescription is MORE Reach for the Top.

Notice: Students who won the grad survey for the school yearbook are asked to meet in the atrium at the beginning of period 3 TODAY. You are not excused from class if you have a CPT. You have been notified if you were a winner. Congratulations for being the best in your category.

Please research the different platforms and policies of the various federal parties (Liberal, Conservative, New Democrat, Green, etc.) in order to make an informed decision on January 18th. Waterloo Math Contest: The meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 18 in room 302 at 11:40 am. All students, who signed up to write the test, need to come.

Part-time work: Looking for female Math tutor for Grade a 6, 11 year old boy from St. Luke school. Pay will be $8.00/hour. Please contact Mrs. Grandpierre at 823-0314.

Shad Valley: Shad Valley has decided to extend the submission date to January 27, 2006 for students from Mother Teresa High School. Application forms can be obtained through the website at www.shad.ca. Shad International has up to $300,000 available in bursaries and scholarships to help students cover the cost of attending the program. We do our very best to ensure that there are no financial obstacles for students.

Shad Valley: Shad Valley has decided to extend the submission date to January 27, 2006 for students from Mother Teresa High School. Application forms can be obtained through the website at www.shad.ca. Shad International has up to $300,000 available in bursaries and scholarships to help students cover the cost of attending the program. We do our very best to ensure that there are no financial obstacles for students.

Looking for Tutor: Looking for a male tutor for a Grade 8 student who is attending St. Joseph High School … preferably a Grade 11 student.
