VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: High School students: Do you need to fill your school requirements of 40 hours of volunteering? Looking for a fun, festive place to volunteer? The Canada Day Arts Festival will run from June 30 through July 4. We have 2 locations: Queen Juliana Park near Preston and Carling, and Andrew Haydon Park in Nepean. There will be a midway, petting zoo, pony rides, food concessions, face painting, balloons, and a stage with various performers. On July 1, we have a fireworks show at Andrew Haydon Park over the Ottawa River. Volunteers are needed between 11 AM and 8 PM; June 30 to July 4. Possible duties include giving directions and offering assistance to patrons, putting up posters, delivering and/or handing out brochures, helping vendors and musicians with small tasks, and others. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Chris at info@canadadayfestival.com, 613-567-4532 to let them know which days and hours you might be available. Whether you’re available for 2 hours or 20 hours, we appreciate your time! (KW –Jun 18)
