Grade 9-12: Students who are interested in participating in the fifth annual Mother Teresa English Department trip to the Stratford Festival next October may pick up an application form from Mr. McGovern in room 300, at the beginning of lunch period TODAY to Friday this week. Students will have the opportunity to attend four plays and two workshops with the actors.

The Food Bank is in need of Volunteers for the following events:

St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 11th. Need 50 traffic Marshals. Must be 16 years of age as of March 11, 2006. You will be assigned an intersection along the parade route. Float helpers are also needed and people to collect food. Shifts 12:00pm - 5:00pm.

Tim Hortons Jamboree - March 16th. Volunteers needed to collect food and monetary donations at this junior hockey tournament. Location: The Scotiabank Place, Shifts: 7:30am - 11:00am; 11:00am - 3:00pm; 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Bone Button Borscht - March 18th. Collect food and help children with fun pre-show activities. Location: National Arts Centre. Shift 12:15pm to 3:45pm.

Apprenticeships and Trades Symposium: St. Mark High School is hosting a symposium on Apprenticeships and Trades TODAY at 4:00 p.m. at St. Mark H.S., in the library. They will have reps from Skills Canada, Algonquin College, and our School Board (OCCDSB) to discuss the various opportunities for students in the Trades. Topics covered will include the different trades available, how Algonquin fits into the training, and how students can be registered as an apprentice (OYAP) while still in high school. Reminder: Tomorrow (Friday) is a Professional Development day for teachers. There is no school for students.

Grade 7 & 8: Ever think about working for the children's museum? The Canadian Museum of Civilization is recruiting members for its Youth Advisory Committee. This committee gives youth an opportunity to work in a team and contribute in the evaluation of current and upcoming exhibits, programmes and products at the Children's Museum. If you are between 11 - 14 and interested in applying to sit on this committee, please see Ms. Pierce in Student Services.

Grade 7 and 8 Boys and Girls Swim Team: There will be a very important meeting during junior lunch TODAY in room 100 (the Art Room) for all those interested in being part of the swim team. Please bring your lunch with you. The meeting will start at 12:30 sharp.

- There will be a yearbook work day for those working on the grad section and the layouts for the next deadline - THIS FRIDAY (THE PD DAY) - at 10:00 - see Mrs. B in room 207 today for details.

Job Info: Swiss Chalet is holding a Job Fair TODAY and tomorrow at Walter Baker from 9 am to 7 pm in room 202.

Mini-Enrichment: Students who received invitations to participate in the Mini-Enrichment courses May 1-5, 2006 must return your permission form as soon as possible. You will be given a password at this point. Don't be disappointed - indicate your interest soon. The deadline for applications is Feb. 4, 2006.
