Tues. Nov 25 - OSSLT Online Pilot Test in the morning.  The Learning Commons will be closed in the morning for the Pilot Test of the OSSLT Online version.

7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS

7-8 Drama Club: Any 7-8 students interested in being part of the school play for the year are asked to sign up outside room 332 by Friday. There will be a meeting in 332 on Monday Dec 1st for everyone that signs up! (JB Nov. 28)

7/8 Table Tennis: There will be a practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school for the 7/8 Table Tennis team in the Multi Purpose Room.  Please let Mr. Lussier know if you cannot attend. (BL Nov. 27)

7/8 Intramurals: 3 on 3 Basketball Intramurals- games finish up this week, followed by open basketball for the quarter/semi/final teams. Sign ups for the next Intramural activity will take place at lunch in the Caf gym. Stay tuned... (TF Nov. 28)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention all HISTORY ON FILM club members, our next film will be Forrest Gump taking place on Wednesday December 3, 2014.  We will be looking at issues such as the Vietnam War, civil rights, US presidencies and hippies to name a few. Mama always said "Life is like a box of chocolates...."(MG Dec. 3)

Math Enrichment: Reminder to all students involved in Math Enrichment of our meeting today at lunch. (NR Nov. 27)

Vocal Ensemble will not be meeting in the mornings this week.  There will be section rehearsals during senior lunch according to the following schedule: Tue - Tenors, Wed - Sopranos, Thur - Altos and Fri - Bass.

Please make every effort to attend on your given day.  We will meet in room 119 at 11:40 for each rehearsal. (RL Nov. 28)

Swim Team: There will be a short meeting this Thursday Nov 27th at lunch in room 205 to discuss the competition events on Friday the 28th at Walter Baker Pool.  (PC Nov. 27)

Sr. Wrestling (gr. 9 - 12) will begin this week with practices on Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00 pm in the Cafe gym.  All interested students are asked to be prompt and changed for practice.  See Mr. Liska for more information. (JL Nov. 28)

Berrigan Elementary School is hosting an informative talk about healthy food for schools with guest speakers: Dr. Freedhoff, Nadine Hodgins and Jamie Hurst. UNB is hosting a parent/student night at the Lord Elgin Hotel on November 27th, at 7 pm.

The session features a presentation and a chance to talk with UNB representatives about admissions, scholarships, student life and more. (KW Nov. 27)

Canadian Education Exchange Foundation - Information evening for interested parents and students taking place Thursday, November 27th, 2014 at 7:30 pm at 440 Albert Street, Ottawa (Former Tech HS building)  Room C115. (KW Nov. 27)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:


LF for volunteers to work with children at activity stations on Saturday, December 6th (Manotick Family Christmas Party) at the Manotick United Church from1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.  You must provide your own transportation to and from the church.  Please contact Laurel Slattery or Donna Ouellette at 613-692-4625.
