Fri. Nov 28:  Red Maple (7/8 Book Club) will be meeting in the Seminar Room during 7/8 Lunch

Mon. Dec. 1:  Grade 8 Games Club is cancelled today due to a First Aid course taking place in the Seminar Room.

Tues. Dec. 2.:  - HS Animanga Club is cancelled today due to a First Aid course taking place in the Seminar Room.

Grade 7 Games Club is cancelled today due to a First Aid course taking place in the Seminar Room.

Wed. Dec. 3:  - HS Animanga Club in the Seminar Room during HS Lunch

Eric Walters Visiting in the afternoon.  The Learning Commons will be closed for Grade 7/8 Lunch today due to the presentation.

Thurs. Dec. 4:  - Reconciliation Services will be taking place all day.  The Learning Commons will be closed for Grade 7/8 Lunch again today. 

Tinker club will be cancelled for Grade 7/8 Lunch today as well.

Friday Dec. 5:  Red Maple (7/8 Book Club) will be meeting in the Seminar Room during 7/8 Lunch

7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Tchoukball: Anyone who has not been on a Sports team this year, and is interested in trying out for Tchoukball is asked to sign up in Mr. Major’s room (rm. 204) today (Friday, November 28th) at start of 7/8 lunch. (MM Nov. 28)

7-8 Drama Club: Any 7-8 students interested in being part of the school play for the year are asked to sign up outside room 332 by Friday. There will be a meeting in 332 on Monday Dec 1st for everyone that signs up! (JB Nov. 28)

clip_image0027/8 Intramurals: 3 on 3 Basketball Intramurals- games finish up this week, followed by open basketball for the quarter/semi/final teams. Sign ups for the next Intramural activity will take place at lunch in the Caf gym. Stay tuned... (TF Nov. 28)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Vocal Ensemble Members:  There will be a regular Tuesday morning rehearsal on December 2ndbeginning at 7:30 am.  Music for upcoming liturgy will be covered so please be in attendance. (RL Dec. 1)

Alpine Ski Team: Our next practice will be in room 303 Thursday December 4 during both lunches.   Please bring your lunch.  All team fees should be submitted to Mrs. Brady before December 12, 2014.  Unfortunately they can't be paid using the new on-line payment system this year. (AB Dec. 4)

Biology Competition prep Monday Dec 1 in room 202 at lunch. Please bring your lunch. (SS Dec. 1)

A few spots are still open for the Boston Trip.  Want to see the Yankees play the Red Sox in May??  Want to visit Harvard U?  How about seeing Boston Gardens??  Pop by room 216 for a form. (LB Dec. 1 )

Attention all HISTORY ON FILM club members, our next film will be Forrest Gump taking place on Wednesday December 3, 2014.  We will be looking at issues such as the Vietnam War, civil rights, US presidencies and hippies to name a few. Mama always said "Life is like a box of chocolates...."(MG Dec. 3)

Vocal Ensemble will not be meeting in the mornings this week.  There will be section rehearsals during senior lunch according to the following schedule: Tue - Tenors, Wed - Sopranos, Thur - Altos and Fri - Bass.

Please make every effort to attend on your given day.  We will meet in room 119 at 11:40 for each rehearsal. (RL Nov. 28)

Sr. Wrestling (gr. 9 - 12) will begin this week with practices on Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00 pm in the Cafe gym.  All interested students are asked to be prompt and changed for practice.  See Mr. Liska for more information. (JL Nov. 28)

The STUDENT SERVICES WEBSITE at ss.mths.ca is set up as an information tool, including information about: Community Service Hours Opportunities, Courses, Careers, Graduation, Scholarships, etc.

Volunteer opportunity. Tue Nov 25th-Fri Nov 28: 8-10 volunteers needed Friday, November 28, for the St. Luke Snowflake Ball from 4:30 - 9:30. Contact Tina Granville at tgranvil@gmail.com (TC Nov. 28)

LF French Tutor (immersion) for a grade 6 boy attending St. Luke elementary school. Looking for help once a week to start.  If interested, please contact Mr. Kay at 613-823-8482. Thank you.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:


LF for volunteers to work with children at activity stations on Saturday, December 6th (Manotick Family Christmas Party) at the Manotick United Church from1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.  You must provide your own transportation to and from the church.  Please contact Laurel Slattery or Donna Ouellette at 613-692-4625.
