SIGN A BANNER FOR REMBERANCE DAY: On Thursday, November 8th during both lunches, students will be invited to sign their name and send their well wishes to soldiers overseas in Afghanistan. Please come to the Atrium at lunch and sign your name.
7/8 GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: The 7-8 girls' volleyball team is to be dismissed at 1:50 today. Departure is at 2:00 so the girls need to be in the atrium at that time.
7/8 STUDENT COUNCIL: All 7/8 homeroom reps are reminded of the brief meeting after school today in room 238 (Ms. Stuart's room). We will be counting the dance money and organizing the tickets. You will be receiving your dance refreshment table schedule Thursday morning before homeroom.
7/8 DANCE: Don't forget that the 7/8 "Out of this World" dance is taking place tomorrow afternoon! If you forgot your $2.00 today, then your only option is to visit Ms. Stuart's classroom (room 238) before homeroom tomorrow to purchase one. No tickets will be sold at the door. If you'd like to purchase chips or a drink, make sure you bring some change. They'll both be sold outside the gym for 50 cents each.
RED MAPLE CLUB: New members are still welcome. Please drop by the library to pick up a pass. Next meeting will be Wednesday, November 14th.
ATTENTION GRADE 7/8 STUDENTS: The music room will be open TODAY and Thursday this week for practice at lunch.
ATTENTION GRADE 7/8 BAND STUDENTS: Fundraising is now over due. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to lower the cost of your year end trip - and to win an IPod Shuffle! Forms must be handed in by no later than Thursday. If you need another form, please get one from Mrs. Antoine, In addition, all band fees are now overdue. Please bring your cheques and T-shirt order-forms in by no later than Thursday. Shirts will be ordered on Friday!
GRAD PHOTOS: Your graduation portrait session days are coming up next week (Tuesday to Friday). Please book your appointment early. Sign up sheets are available in Student Services along with information booklets. Sitting fees are either $25, $30 or $35. If you only require a yearbook pose, please sign up for a yearbook only appointment; you will not need a ten minute appointment.
PEER HELPERS: There will be no class visit this week. Please sign up in Student Services for the In Love and In Danger workshop which takes place Friday, Nov. 16.
YEARBOOK COMMITTEE: Thursday's regular Yearbook Committee meeting has been postponed until Thursday, November 15th. It is important that all Yearbook Photographers plan to attend this meeting as we will be handing out your next photo assignments. Committee members who have been working on layout and design are also asked to attend.
NOTICE FOR GRADS: A representative from St. Lawrence College will be here on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 12:30 to 1:30 to discuss programs and entrance requirements for St. Lawrence College. This college has campuses in Cornwall, Brockville and Kingston and has many programs that may be of interest to graduates. If you are interested in attending, you must sign up in Student Services by the end of the day today.
WHITE PINE READING CLUB FOR GRADE 9-12 STUDENTS: If you like to read, please come to the first meeting of the White Pine Reading Club. Meet new friends and enjoy some great books by Canadian authors. Bring your lunch to the first meeting TODAY in the library seminar room at 11:45.
VIMY TRIP: Could all the students that went on last years Vimy trip please stop by room 212 TODAY at lunch or after school to see Mr. Coxall. I have more information about: 1. The Remembrance Day concert on November 10th. 2. A meeting at the War Museum on November 9th with Canada AM. 3. Update about trip to Ortona.
BOYS HOCKEY: Pizza party is next Tuesday, November 13 after school. You must sign up with Mr. Prigent or you cannot attend.
INTRAMURALS: Floor Hockey Sign ups begin this week. Team forms are available at Mr. Prigent's office door. $1 per player. Deadline is Friday November 16. First 8 teams paid make the cut.

HIGH SCHOOL PLAY AUDITIONS: The auditions for the high school play will take place on Monday, Nov. 12, Tuesday, Nov. 13 and Wednesday Nov. 14 in room 131 (the new wing) from 3:15 till 5:30. Please put your name on the Audition List. Please bring your audition form with you.
PROM COMMITTEE: If you are interested in helping plan 2008's Prom, please come out to our first meeting on Thursday, November 8th, at lunch (11:45 a.m.) in Room 134 (first floor in the new wing)
REACH FOR THE TOP: Students interested in entering the annual Reach In-School Tourney should pick up team entry forms in Room 200 as soon as possible. Entry deadline is Thursday Nov. 8. The revolution continues...
