Attention skiers and snowboarders: If you are interested in participating in the St.
Mother Teresa Ski and Snowboard club please visit your my.mths.ca app and clink
the link to sign up. We will be skiing all Wednesdays in February (the
6th, the 13th, 20th and 27th). Bus leaves school at 3:00 and

7/8 School Play Dancer: Interested
in being a dancer in this years 7/8 school play? Sign up outside room
330. Auditions will take place on Monday,
January 14 at lunchtime in room 330. Style of dance will be jazz. (JC Jan.14)
7/8 Yoga- All students are welcome
to come out to yoga on Tuesdays at lunchtime. Yoga takes place in the Dance
studio at 12:30. You are welcome to come a little earlier to eat your lunch
there before we start yoga. No experience or equipment needed. (KM)
7 & 8 Swim Team - Tryouts will take place at MINTO Recreation Complex March
5 & 7th from 3:00 - 4:00 pm. Please
attend both tryouts. Competitive and non-competitive swimmers welcome and no
previous experience necessary. Students are responsible for their own
transportation to and from the pool. A sign-up list and permission forms are
posted outside of room 234. All swimmers are
reminded to bring their permission form to Mme Pendergest prior to the first
tryout. Please note that students who make the team must be able to commit
to team practices on Tuesdays & Thursdays between
April 9 - May 9, 2019. (CP March 7)
The next connectED for grades 7&8 students
runs Friday, January 25th period 5. Students must sign up
on my.mths.ca from
January 16th at 8am to January
24th at 9 am. Lots
to choose from,don't miss out! If you need help please speak with your homeroom

7/8 Futsal: Any girls
interested in trying out for the GIRLS 7/8 Futsal team there will be ONE try
out on Wednesday, January 9th in the
Wood Floor Gym. Please see Ms. Mandia if you cannot attend the tryout. The two
other practices will be January 17th and
23rd.

Exam Study Help- All high school students are welcome to an Exam Prep
session on Friday, January 18th at lunch
in Room 200. Come for some easy tips
and tricks on how to study for and write exams ! (KM Jan. 18)
Volunteers for Wrestling Tournament @SMT February
4th-6th: Volunteers are needed for set-up teardown, scorekeeping,
tournament brackets, and match calling for the SMT Wrestling tournament on February 6th. We will need all day
on February 6th, as well the evenings of

Attention Gr. 9 Students.
With semester 1 exams coming up at the end of January, there will be exam
preparation workshops offered in the New Year. If you would like to learn
effective study strategies, you won't want to miss this! You will need to
sign up in Student Services in order to attend. The workshops will be
offered at lunch (11:25-12:05pm) on January 9, 10 and 11. Come visit us

is looking for 10 - 12 (4 on ice and the remainder off ice) volunteers to help
on February 2, 2019 from 10:30am to 2:30pm at Larking Park (76 Larkin Drive).
