Ski club is cancelled for Wednesday, February 3rd  and a new date will be added Wednesday, March 2nd Please notify Mrs. Morency no later than February10th if you are unable to attend on March 2nd as the same number of buses will be reserved.  Subway orders will be refunded and new orders will not be taken until further notice. (SM Feb. 3)

Alpine Ski Team Upcoming important dates:
Monday, February 8th: Re-scheduled training day at Mont Ste. Marie 7 am- 4 pm
Wednesday, February 17th: NCSSAA Alpine Championship Slalom Camp Fortune 7 -4pm
Thursday February 18th: NCSSAA Alpine Championship Giant Slalom Camp Fortune 7-4

Update to Allerject Voluntary Recall Replacement Procedures: Important Allerject Information: Following the October 28, 2015 voluntary recall by Sanofi Canada of all lots of Allerject epinephrine auto-injectors and the announcement earlier this month that the stock of alternative epinephrine auto-injectors is now sufficient to replace all Allerject devices in Canada, we remind you of the following:
  • Immediately return all Allerject devices to your local pharmacy.
  • All Allerject epinephrine auto-injectors returned by patients to their pharmacist with an expiry date between October 2015 and December 2016 inclusively continue to be eligible for replacement at no cost to the patient.
  • Please provide the school with a replacement (if you haven’t already done so). (MC Feb. 1)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

There will be a tryout Thursday morning at 7:30am for any high school girls interested in trying out for the winter futsal team. If you have any questions see Mr. Nicoletti or Mrs. McSwiggan. (CN FEB. 3)

Students who filled in an application to tutor should have received a form asking them to sign-up for a Remind App which will allow Student Services to send out job requests. If you have not registered through texting or email, please do so if you are still interested in tutoring for semester 2. Please see Mrs Watkinson in Student Services if you need these instructions. If you are interested in tutoring semester 2 and have not filled in an application, please come to student services to pick up the application/instruction sheet. (TC Feb. 5)

After School Literacy Class:  The classes begin today (Tuesday Feb. 2) at 3 pm in room 135. All students interested in preparing to write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test are welcome to attend.  Please drop your permission form to Mrs. Watkinson in Students Services. (AB)

All grade 11 and 12 students from last year's Ancient History class are asked to pick up the permission form for the Field Trip to Toronto in room 304.  Please be advised that the first 24 to return forms will be confirmed for the trip.  For any questions please see Mrs. Galbraith. (MG Feb. 5)

Math Enrichment:  Reminder to all students involved in math enrichment of our next gathering on Wednesday, February 3rd during lunch.  Remember that all grade 9 to 11 students wishing to write the Waterloo contest must bring $8 to the lead teacher by that date.  See you Wednesday! (NR Feb. 5)
Debate Club - The debate club will meet January 18th, February 8th, 22nd, March 7th. Meetings will resume again after the March Break. No experience needed. New students always welcome. Room 138. (JS March 7)

Guidance Counsellor Appointments: For students in grade 9 -12, to request an appointment to see you Guidance Counsellor, please do so on-line, through yourmy.mths.ca account. You will receive an email with the scheduled time of the appointment. It may take a day or two to receive the scheduled appointment. For students in grade 7&8, please continue to visit Student Services to make the appointment. (JH Feb. 5)
