PROM FASHION SHOW 2015: Please go to SchoolCash Online available on the Mother Teresa website and purchase MTHS Prom Fashion Show tickets. $5.00 for students and $7.00 for adults. All are welcome! Lunch sales will be February 2, 3,4th 2015. Online sales end February 2, 2015. Tickets will also be available at the door. Come see our students model gorgeous long and short dresses from MerryMarry: DRESSES FOR WEDDING, EVENING AND PROM, as well as formal wear from Moores Clothing for Men. Grade 7-8 Valentine’s Dance:
Friday February 13th from 1:15 to 2:35 pm in the Caf. gym
Purchase your 2$ entry fee in homeroom as of Wednesday February 4th.
Online payment option available at mths.ca (opens Monday February 2nd and closes Wednesday February 11th)
Is the Valentine’s Day Dance not your thing? No worries! The library will be available free of charge for alternative activities (e.g., computer time, study hall - maybe you want to get a head start on your homework for the weekend?, watch a movie, etc. (EM Feb 13)
7-8 School Play: The rehearsals for the 7-8 school play are as follows:
The rehearsal for Scene 3 this week has been rescheduled. It is now Thursday Jan 29 @ LUNCH in the 7-8 drama room. Please bring your lunch and be on time.
Wednesday February 11: Scene 4 on stage from 3:00-4:00pm
Friday February 13: Scene 5 on stage from 3:00-4:00pm

7-8 Boys Hockey
Practice this week for the Tier 1 team: Thursday January 29, 2015 at Walter Baker (Jack May Buick Rink) from 3:00-4:00pm. Please be at the rink by 2;45. You must advise Mme Beraldin if you cannot make it. (JB Jan. 29)
Due to the 7/8 futsal tournaments next week the grade 7 girls, try-out initially scheduled for Wed. Jan. 28th will be on Thursday Jan. 29th and the grade 7 boys try-out initially scheduled for Thursday Jan. 29th will be on Wednesday Jan. 28th.
So, these are the correct dates for the grade 7 badminton try-outs:
Wednesday January 28th - grade 7 boys
Thursday January 29th - grade 7 girls
HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
High School Schedules for Semester 2: All students from grade 9 -12 must check their schedules on my.mths.ca. There has been a number of changes including teachers, rooms, etc. If you are using the MTHS App, you will need to log out and back in to refresh. (JH Jan. 30)
Math Enrichment: Students in grade 9 to 11 planning to write the Waterloo Math Contest are reminded to bring $5 to their enrichment teacher BEFORE exams. You must bring in your money to be registered to write the contest on February 24. We will meet next on Wednesday, February 4th. (NR Feb. 24)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Volunteers needed! We are coordinating our annual West End Basketball League (WEBL) Midget Girls Year-end Tournament and need basketball scorekeepers and timekeepers. The event takes place at LDHS starting from Friday (April 24th) after school until Sunday (April 26th) evening. We are looking for high school students and priority will be given to those who can commit to the whole tournament. This is a great way to pick up a ton of volunteer hours!
