RED MAPLE CLUB: Drop by to the library any time this week to vote for your favourite Red Maple book. The poll will be open until 3:05 Thursday, April 30th. (Apr 30)
VACCINATION CLINIC: This is a reminder to all grade 7 students, and to grade 8 girls, that our final vaccination clinic will take place during the morning of Friday May 1. This will be the second/final immunization for all grade 7's for Hepatitis B and the third/final immunization for grade 8 girls for HPV. Students are reminded to have a good breakfast on Friday to be ready for the clinic. (Apr 30)

MARINE BIOLOGY TRIP: All students registered in grade 12 biology next year are invited to sign up to attend an information meeting on Wednesday April 29th at 11:45 in room 202 regarding next year's 5-day biology trip to St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, New Brunswick in September 2009. STUDENT SERVICES
PUBLIC BOARD SUMMER SCHOOL: Information and application forms are now available, in the Student Services office, for the Public Board’s summer school program. Courses will be offered at Sir Robert Borden H.S. on Greenbank as well as three other sites. They are offering many reach-ahead and make up courses as well as 1 credit co-op and a limited number of on-line courses. If interested, pick up information as soon as possible. (Apr. 29)
VOLUNTEERS! VOLUNTEERS! Up to 20 volunteers required. The Rotary Club of South Nepean is looking for volunteers for the Strandherd Road Clean Up Project. Saturday, May 9th from 1pm to 4pm. Please contact Doug Pritchard at 613 558-6683. (May 7)
VOLUNTEER HOURS: Farley Mowat Public School is hosting a Family Mayfair on Saturday, May 30 from 10-2pm. Volunteers are needed to work from 8 am to 4 pm at the concession stands, bake sale, ticket sales, BBQ and games for all ages. ATTENTION GRADUATES: The Sylvester Quinn Memorial Award in the amount of $1000 is awarded to one graduating student in each Ottawa Catholic High School to assist in pursuing a post-secondary education. The criteria for this award is service to others, scholastic achievement, need for financial assistance and strong moral and ethical values. Applications are available from the Student Services Department. (May 1)
GRADUATES APPLYING TO ALGONQUIN COLLEGE: The Sens Foundation in partnership with the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club has established ten scholarships of $1000 each for students planning to attend Algonquin College. For criteria information and an application, go to Student Services. (May 1)
THE BLACK CANADIAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND ($5000 BURSARY): Criteria: Black Canadian graduating from an Ottawa high school with a minimum of 75% in top 6 grade 12 courses. Must demonstrate financial need and community involvement. Visit www.bcsf.ca for the application. (May 8)
