Day 1 - H.S. & Day 5 - Gr. 7 & 8

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: For today's game the bus is now leaving at 2:30. Please leave your classes 4th period by 2:20.

KNITTING CLUB: The knitting club will meet TODAY during HS lunch in the library seminar room. Bring your unfinished knitting project, or start something new - we have needles & yarn available for students to use. New members are always welcome.

OUTDOOR CLUB: There will be a meeting for all outdoor club members Wednesday April 1st at 12:00 pm in Room 103. We will be discussing the next outings. (Apr 1)

PEER HELPERS: Please sign up in Student Services if you are able to help at the Grade 6 Parent Information night on Wed April 1 from 5:15 to 6:15. (Mar 30)

EARTH DAY: Any students interested in being a part of planning Mother Teresa’s Earth Day celebrations, please come to a meeting TODAY in Room 204 at 1:00. Be sure to bring lots of ideas and enthusiasm! (Mar 30)

WRITING COMPETITION: Students who want to enter the Carleton University English Department's writing competition can drop off their submissions to Mrs. Simpson in Rm 138. I will send them to the university before the May 1 deadline. Please fill in an entry form. Poems, scripts, essays and short stories are all welcome! (Apr 3)

DO YOU NEED YOUR INCOME TAXES FILED FOR THIS YEAR?? Did you know that if you were 16 or older on Dec. 31 of 2008, you might be entitled to receive $100 from the government even if you didn’t work? Come to Room 216 after school to meet with the Grade 12 accounting tax experts or talk to Mr. Baldin. (Mar 31)

SHAKIN' IT WITH SHAKESPEARE: You are invited to submit a mural design for the first floor, new wing hall. The mural must celebrate Shakespeare and incorporate ideas, images or scenes from Shakespeare's plays. It also must have an image of Shakespeare and incorporate a relevant quotation from one of his plays. Please give your design idea to Mrs. Simpson in Room 138 by April 3. (Apr. 3)
