7/8 GIRLS FLOORBALL: Mandatory practice TODAY and Thursday January 22nd this week from 3:10 - 4:15.
7/8 REACH FOR THE TOP: There will be a mandatory meeting for ALL Reach for the Top participants in Ms. Curtis' room (Rm. 233) at 12:40 on Tuesday, January 20th. You will be going outside after the short meeting.
DRIVER EDUCATION PROGRAM: Registration forms for the Winter 2009 session are now available in Student Services. Students may register either by mailing/dropping off the registration form to the Continuing Education Department (570 West Hunt Club Road), or by calling 613-228-3338 to register with Visa or MasterCard payment. In-class lessons start Wednesday, February 25th from 3:15pm to 5:45pm in Room 100.
KNITTING CLUB: The Knitting Club will meet today during HS lunch in the library seminar room. This will be our last meeting until the new semester in February.
LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS: Farley Mowat Public School is hosting a Family Fun Dance on Thursday, February 12th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and volunteers are needed from 5pm-9pm to help set-up, to work the concession stands and bake sale, take tickets at the door and supervise a coloring corner. A study skills workshop will be held on Tuesday, January 20th during lunch for all interested high school students. Please sign up for the workshop on the form in Student Services. The location of the workshop will be announced.
ATTENTION SENIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAM: There will be a practice today and Monday, February 2nd at 3:15 - 4:30. Continue to check the schedule outside the wood floor gym for any changes as well as dismissal times over the exam break.
STRATFORD 2009: Students who would like to attend the Stratford Field Trip in October of 2009 are asked to see Mrs. Simpson in Rm. 138 to pick up an information letter and permission form.
THE IRISH EXPERIENCE: The Irish Experience is a summer program (in July) for students who wish to obtain Gr. 11 and 12 Ontario Ministry of Education credits in English, History and Math in Ireland. All courses are taught by certified Ontario teachers. There will be an information meeting for interested students and their parents at the Greenboro Public Library, 363 Lorry Greenberg Drive at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20.
H.S. INTRAMURAL FLOOR HOCKEY: If you are interested in scorekeeping for intramurals, please see Miss. Kuchma ASAP. Community Service hours will be awarded.
WHAT DOES MUSIC MEAN TO YOU? Do you have a song that has changed your life or gotten you through the hard times? Tell us about it and you could be featured in this year's yearbook. The deadline to hand them in is today at the end of lunch. Forms can be picked up and submitted in Student Services.

LOOKING FOR A TUTOR: Looking for a mature, energetic and enthusiastic tutor to work with a 9-year old, high-functioning, autistic boy to improve his reading and writing skills, to prepare him for science and social study tests, and to help with his homework. Training will be provided. Time: Everyday from 3:15 to 5:30. Place: 76 Sunvale Way, Barrhaven. Salary: minimum $10/hour, possibly increasing to $11/hour.
