ATTENTION 7-8 STUDENTS: Any band student wishing to join the music council is asked to meet in rm. 120 today at lunch.
7-8 GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: The next practice for the 7-8 volleyball team will be tonight (Tuesday) from 3:10 to 4:20.
GRADE 7 & 8 MATH! Any student interested in writing the Euler (grade 7) or Lagrange (grade 8) Math contests this year are asked to sign up outside room 236 by Friday, October 26th. For more information about these contests see Ms. Brownrigg.
PICTURE RE-TAKES: Lifetouch will be here this Friday, Oct. 19, for picture re-takes. If you missed the first picture day, be sure to have your picture taken this Friday in order to obtain your student ID card. There is no cost if you simply want the ID card. Packages are available if you want to order more photos.
LIBRARY CLOSURES: The library will be closed after school on Thursday, October 18th.
MATH CONTEST: The first of six CNML (Canadian Math League) contests takes place on Tuesday, October 23 during period 2. Students must report to their period 2 class for attendance before making their way to the library for the contest. The contest takes 30 minutes and is open to all high school students.

STE. ANNE SKI TRIP: Tired of this weather? Imagine a blanket of snow overlooking the St-Lawrence river. This is what you will get on the Ste Anne ski trip. If this is for you, come to a meeting TODAY at 12:00 pm, in room 103. This is your chance apply before everyone else. Place is limited.
COMMUNITY SERVICE: Friends of the Jock River are organizing an environmental project for this Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It involves wrapping the lower part of trees in the Half Moon Bay area (Greenbank Rd. area) to protect them from beavers. If you are interested in helping out, sign up in Student Services.
INTRAMURALS: Intramural sign ups begin this week. Look for a sign in the atrium. Cost is $1 per player and the first activity is Dodgeball. All teams must have at least one male and one female on it. Deadline is this Friday.
YEARBOOK PHOTOGRAPHERS: This Thursday, October 18th is the deadline to submit all Yearbook photos from the first assignments of the year. Please come to Room 103 after school at 3:05 on Thursday to download your photos. These include: Welcome Back, Terry Fox, Spirit Week, What's in your Locker, What's in your Backpack, Students Learning, Leadership Camp, and the Stratford Trip. All Committee members who attended the In-Design training workshop are also asked to attend on Thursday to begin designing some pages.
SCHOLARSHIP INFO: The Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation ($500 - $10,000) The Loran Award. Deadline: Hand in to Student Services by the end of the day TODAY. Criteria: maintain 85% average. ONTARIO UNIVERSITIES IN OTTAWA: The Ontario University Information Program (UIP) will be in Ottawa on TONIGHT at A.Y. Jackson S.S. in Kanata. All 20 of Ontario's universities will have representatives on hand to give presentations on programs and admission requirements. Hours are 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
QUEBEC UNIVERSITIES IN OTTAWA: The three English language Quebec Universities, McGill, Concordia and Bishops, will have representatives in Ottawa on Thursday, Oct. 18 at Woodroffe H.S. to explain programs and admission requirements. Program begins at 7:00 p.m.
