Day 2 - H.S. & Day 3 - Gr. 7 & 8

SENS TICKET DRIVE:
Wear your SENS JERSEY on Monday to support the last day for our fundrasing drive. Sell those tickets and bring in your pledge sheets. GO SENS GO!

RED MAPLE CLUB: What: Reading club for Grade 7/8 students. Why: Read books by Canadian authors, have fun! When: First meeting is on Wednesday, October 31 at the start of Junior lunch. Bring your lunch with you to the library. Where: Library seminar room. Grade 7/8 students interested in joining the Red Maple Club are to drop by the library to pick up a Red Maple lunch pass before Wednesday's meeting.

7/8 STUDENT COUNCIL: All 7/8 Homeroom Reps are reminded of the meeting after school today in the 7/8 Art Room. We'll be making decorations for the upcoming dance.

MULITICULTURAL CLUB GRADE 7s AND 8s - just a reminder of our little Hallowe'en gathering tomorrow at lunch. Bring a treat to share if you want. For more information see Mrs. Birmingham in room 306.

LIBRARY CLOSURE: The library will be closed after school on Wednesday, October 31st.

YOUTH MINISTRY MEETING: Tuesday, October 30 at 11:45 in the chapel. We need to get begin to plan for Christmas Baskets! Everyone is welcome to join.

PUMPKING CARVING CONTESTS: The annual MT Pumpkin Carving Contests are back again. Each homeroom is to send two representatives to the atrium after homeroom. Pumpkins and carving materials will be supplied. Prizes will be awarded to the top three homerooms in each division. 7/8 homerooms will carve on Monday, October 29th. High school homerooms will carve on Tuesday,October 30th. Come by the atrium at lunch to see the final results!

DOOR DECORATING CONTESTS: The Halloween door decorating contests will take place this week. Doors should only be decorated on the judging day. All doors must be cleaned up on Thursday November 1. 7/8 homerooms will be judged on Tuesday October 30th, and high school homerooms will be judged on Wednesday October 31st. Judging will occur between 9:10 and 9:25am. Prizes will be awarded to the top three homerooms in each division.

DRESS UP FOR HALLOWEEN:
All staff and students are encouraged to dress up on Wednesday, October 31st. A reminder that masks are NOT permitted, and costumes should be appropriate to be worn at school. Best Costume contests will be held during both senior and junior lunch in the Cafeteria. Come out and vote for your favorite costumes!! Show your Halloween spirit MT!!

MT COFFEE HOUSE: Student Council is hosting our 3rd Annual Coffee House on Thursday, November 1st. Performers from grades 7 through 12 will sing, dance and play for your enjoyment. Admission is $2 at the door, and refreshments, including Starbucks coffee and homemade treats, will be available for a small fee. Doors open at 6:45 pm and the show will run from about 7:00 – 9:00pm. Everyone is welcome!! High school students can get a sneak preview of the high school acts during period 4 on Thursday. Just bring $2 to your period 4 teacher to buy out of class, and come down and see your very talented classmates perform!

CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING: Congratulations to the high school Cross Country team who participated in the NCSSAA meet on Thursday. All members were very successful in their events. Thank you for a great season!

INTRAMURAL SOCCER: Soccer sign ups continue this week, get your teams in early. Only a maximum of 8 teams will be accepted. First come first served. Envelopes and team forms can be found at Mr. Prigent's Phys. Ed. office. Deadline is November 2. $1 per player.

CAPPIES: Please get a field trip permission form from Mrs. Simpson in room 300. It must be completed before Wednesday, October 31.
