Orange Shirt Day: Next Monday, September 30th is Orange Shirt Day. All staff
and students are asked to wear an orange shirt to declare that 'Every Child
Matters". On this day we pay attention to the painful legacy of the
Indian Residential Schools system, we honour those who are on the path of
healing and we recommit ourselves to reconciliation between Indigenous and
non-Indigenous people. (LD Sept 30)

7/8 Boys Volleyball: If you
are interested in playing volleyball for the intermediate team, tryouts will
start this Friday after school. Sign

either reffing or scorekeeping for the 7/8 boys and girls volleyball

The President and Vice Presidents will set this year’s club direction and
manage teams in the following areas: Entrepreneurship & Competitions, Mother
Tea, Popcorn Sales, School Play Concession Stand, Club Finance, and Club
Communications. Complete the following application form by September 30th. More

HS Cross Country: This a reminder for all High School Cross Country athletes that team fees
need to be paid by Friday September 27, 2019. Also, there is an important
information meeting for ALL athletes on Monday after school regarding
Wednesday's Meet. Please meet in the

H.S. Varsity Non Contact Hockey try-outs will begin
next week. All high school players that are currently
playing Competitive B or lower, are eligible to play non-contact. Full
hockey equipment is mandatory. Please see Mr. Gervasi or Mr. Helman with

school students, Shakespeare first-timers and fans alike. Find your voice, build

Shakespeare on the Platform competition, November 6th at 6 PM in the
University of Ottawa - Academic Hall.
Explore the seasons of life and the human condition: love, loss,
courage, hatred, politics ... in the Bard's brilliant soliloquies and sonnets. Get

Student Tutors needed - interested in
tutoring a younger student at SMT? Tutors are paid $15/hour or you
can earn community service hours. Tutoring takes place from 3:00-4:00 at
the school. Please see Mrs. McCarthy in Room 200 to pick up an

Program - Fall 2019 - registration forms have arrived in Student Services.
Registration runs until October 5th. Students must be at least 16 years of age
and have as G1 license prior to October 21st. Fee is $705.12. (KW Oct. 21)
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board Fall 2019 Night School
Program registration forms have arrived at St. Mother Teresa High
School. Registration dates are from Monday, August 26th to Tuesday,
September 17th at Registration Office, 440 Albert Street, Room E122B, 9:00am to
4:30pm Forms must be signed by student, parent and guidance counsellor and
include student status sheet, proof of citizenship and Status in Canada and
proof of address.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
LF Volunteers. Watson’s Mill in Manotick wants you to join their cast and crew for a
truly haunting experience. They need volunteers who will scare our
visitors and leave them frightened of things that go bump in the night.
Haunt Night volunteers will be needed for the evenings of
October 24, 25, and 26 from 5pm – 10pm.
All time spent as part of our cast and crew can be used towards the 40
