7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS

7/8 Ultimate Frisbee: There will be a 7/8 Co-Ed Ultimate Frisbee tryout Thursday, September 12 and Friday, September 13 at 7:30 AM.  Please see Ms. Brennan if you have any questions (KB Sept. 13)

7/8 Golf: 7/8 boys and girls interested in the golf team please sign up at a Wednesday, September 11th  meeting at lunch in room 240. (JM Sept.11)

7/8 Boys Flag Rugby: The boys flag rugby tryouts will now be on Wednesday, September 11th and Thursday, September 12th. They will each be after school, at 3pm. Meet in the courtyard behind the school. Bring cleats and athletic wear. See Mr. Connor or Miss Woodbyrne for any questions. (BC Sept 12)

7/8 Cross-country : If you are interesting to join our team, please sign up beside room 236 or see Mme Côté if you have any questions. Practices will start next week. (MC Sept. 13)

7/8 Boys Soccer: Any 7/8 boys interested in tryout for the boys 7 VS 7 soccer team please come to a tryout outside in the backyard soccer field Wednesday, September 11 night and Thursday, September 12 (3:00pm - 4:00pm). HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Come with friends and start your own JA (Junior Achievement) Company. Gain valuable leadership, business, communication, and workplace skills plus new friendships in a special chapter of the JA Company program running after school for 15 weeks on Wednesdays beginning September 18th at the Viva retirement residence. HS Girls Hockey: Any HS girls interested in playing hockey this year are asked to sign up outside room 110 this week.  If you are a returning player please let me know if you are playing or not. (MP Sept. 13)

HS Cross-Country: All high school cross country athletes are reminded that there is no practice today due to the staff meeting but there are practices on Wednesday and Thursday after school.  Please meet in the atrium at 3:00 ready to run. (MG Sept. 12)

New York City 2020: Any Grade 11/12 students who are still interested in joining this spring's NYC trip are asked to see Mr. Rowley in Room 136 for information and permission forms. There are a few spots remaining for this coming years trip.  Last chance to sign up for the trip is Thursday, September 26, 2019 (MR Sept. 26)

Boys' Basketball Open Gym: There will be open gym for any grade 9 - 12 boys' interested in playing pick up games on the following dates: Tuesday, September 10 @ 4:30PM, Thursday, September 12th @ 4:30PM, and Tuesday, September 17th @ 4:30PM. The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board Fall 2019 Night School Program registration forms have arrived at St. Mother Teresa High School.  Registration dates are from Monday, August 26th to Tuesday, September 17th at Registration Office, 440 Albert Street, Room E122B, 9:00am to 4:30pm Forms must be signed by student, parent and guidance counsellor and include student status sheet, proof of citizenship and Status in Canada and proof of address.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

LF Volunteers. Watson’s Mill in Manotick wants you to join their cast and crew for a truly haunting experience. They need volunteers who will scare our visitors and leave them frightened of things that go bump in the night.
Haunt Night volunteers will be needed for the evenings of October 24, 25, and 26 from 5pm – 10pm.
All time spent as part of our cast and crew can be used towards the 40 hours of community service needed to graduate. Please sign up by emailing programs@watsonsmill.com (KW Oct. 24)
