St. Mother Teresa Remembrance Day Service -Friday November 9th: We will be hosting two Services in the cafeteria gym the first beginning at 9:00 am for students in Grades 7, 8, 9 and a second Service following at approximately 10:00 am  for Grades 10, 11 and 12.  We are extending a special invitation to any military parents, grandparents, etc. currently serving or retired.  Your presence, dressed in uniform if possible, would be most appreciated.  A reception will follow  in the Learning Commons (library) after the second Service.  Please contact Jacqueline Kinloch if you are able to attend,jacqueline.kinloch@ocsb.ca (JK Nov. 8)

7/8 Table Tennis Schedule :(equipment will be provided)
Tuesday, November 6th at lunch in the Atrium (grade 7 boys only)
Thursday, November 8th at lunch in the Atrium (grade 7 girls only)
Friday, November 9th at lunch in the Atrium (grade 8 girls only)
The grade 8 boys will start with two separate tryouts (list of name TBD)
Monday, November 12th at lunch in the Atrium (grade 8 boys only) First Group
Tuesday, November 13th at lunch in the Atrium (grade 8 boys only) Second Group


Makerspace Club: Our Makerspace club is so popular, we need to divide the club into two different groups. The first group will now meet on Mondays at lunch and will include students from 7-01 - 7-05. Our Tuesday group will include students from 7-06 - 7-10 and all students from grade 8.

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Any students interested in being part of the stage or lighting crew for this year's production of Radium Girls, please attend an important meeting this Tuesday, November 6th  on the stage (rm. 114). Please see Ms. Laviolette or Mrs. Rose if you have questions. (MR Nov. 6)

Senior Girls Volleyball:  If you are interested in trying out for the senior girls volleyball team this year please sign up on the sheet on the door of Mrs. Ragaisis' phys-ed office.  The try-outs will be Tuesday, November 13th and Thursday, November 15th after school in the wood floor gym. (SR Nov. 15)

HS. Boys Hockey try-outs will be held on Tuesday, November 6th. from 3:30-4:30 at the Nepean Sportsplex 3 (back rink)  This is full contact hockey and full hockey gear is mandatory. (MG Nov. 6)

More info on the Titans Den Business board or see us in rm 213 to discuss past participants from SMT who went on to participate in Junior Team Canada trade missions to China and Papua New Guinea! Titans Den Business Club  will meet on Wednesday, November 7th at lunch for a special networking event in room 213. New members welcome! The club offers many opportunities for skills development, leadership, and fun. See us in room 213 for more info. (SM Nov. 8)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

LF Volunteers: The Barrhaven BIA is hosting a breakfast with Santa event right here at St. Mother Teresa High School on November 18th .This is a great chance to get volunteer hours but an even better chance to see little kids have fun with Santa. Here is what you need... Volunteers will be helping with serving and cleaning up from breakfast, helping in the Arts and Crafts room, coffee service, helping with the Photo booth, greeting people and letting them know where everything is. Students will be required to be at the school at 7:15am and will most likely be there until 12noon. I will give each student 5 hours of volunteer time and more if they have to stay later. For more information please check your student email account. (KZ Nov. 17)

LF Volunteers:  Manotick Family Christmas Party. December 1, 2018. Require students from 1 pm to 4:30 pm. Must provide own transportation to and from the church (Manotick United Church). It is a fun day for everyone. Lots of activities.  Please call 613-692-4625 and speak with either Laurel Bajwa or Cathy Ablers. (KW Dec. 1)
