office for all practice and tournament dates. The first practice will be
on Monday, October 22nd, from 3-4pm in

Student Vote for the Municipal Election- October 19th Attention all high school students! You will
have an opportunity to participate in a mock vote for the upcoming municipal
election on Friday, October 19th. You
will have an opportunity to vote for the mayor, your city councillor and a
school trustee. Please look at the following links to research the different

HS Wrestling Team: All athletes
interested in joining the HS Wrestling Team are asked to come to a brief but
very important meeting on Monday, October 22nd,

Club. All high schoolers interested in making a
difference in our community are welcome! We meet in the library conference room

Concordia University is having an Open House on Saturday, October
20th, 2018, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Sir George
Williams Campus and Loyola Campus. Register at concordia.ca/openhouse
Plus, portfolio days coming up at Concordia are: Saturday,
October 20th, and February 16, 2019. Get one-on-one constructive
feedback about your work and learn more about their programs and how to

The Ontario
Colleges Application System is now open! Check your student email for the
Ontario College Application Information. Deadline to Apply for equal
consideration is Feb 1, 2019. (TC Nov. 23)
There will be an important meeting for all grade 12 students Wednesday,
September 26th during period 4. Students would report to their period
4 class for attendance and to pick up their status sheet before heading to the
meeting. Students who have a spare NEED to attend this "Everything you
need to know for Grade 12" meeting.
Students who are College bound will report to The Learning Commons.
Students who are University bound will head to Gym C/D (College
information will be provided at this meeting as well.)
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
LF Volunteers: Manotick
Family Christmas Party. December 1, 2018. Require students from 1
pm to 4:30 pm. Must provide own transportation to and from the church
(Manotick United Church). It is a fun day for everyone. Lots of
activities. Please call 613-692-4625 and speak with either Laurel Bajwa
or Cathy Ablers. (KW Dec. 1)
LF Volunteers: MPB Halloween
Party, October 26th, from 4pm to 9pm. Need 10 students to
dress scary and haunt the halls. Need 3 students to run the canteen (popcorn,
chocolate, water) and 2 students to assist Mrs. F. Furey. If interested, please
contact Mrs. Furey at 613-898-4483. She will sign your community service
