7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
Attention all 7/8
athletes: Any 7/8 student interested in joining the 7/8 WRESTLING team is asked
to attend a brief, but very important meeting on Thursday Oct. 11 at
the beginning of lunch outside of Mr. Quinn’s office. All students only wrestle
against their own gender and within their weight class (within 5lbs). All
questions or concerns can be answered at Thursday’s meeting. (TQ
Gr. 7/8 students interested in attending WE Day on Wednesday,
November 14 see Ms Francella (rm. 334) or Mr. Nicoletti. Forms
are due Friday, October 19th. (LF Oct. 17)
7/8 Student Council Members: Don't
forget to hand in your Leadership Camp forms as soon as possible! They are due
on October 10th (KB Oct. 10)
HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
IMUM- All students who signed up for IMUM are asked to come to a meeting
on Thursday Oct 11th at 11:30 in Room 200. Please see Mrs. McCarthy

Hey Kool Kats! We're back with the SMT Activist
Club. All high schoolers interested in making a
difference in our community are welcome! We meet in the library conference room
at lunch on Mondays. Thanks! (JO Oct. 22)
High School Curling Team:
There will be an information and signup meeting for all boys and girls
interested in trying out for the curling teams. The meeting will take
place at the beginning of lunch on Friday, October 12th,
in room 301. Please see Mrs. Robinson or Mr. Baldin (room
216) if you have any questions or cannot attend.

Driver Education Fall 2018 Program. Forms are available in Student
Services. Registration runs until October 10th.
Do not bring back the form to Student Services, but register either online, by
fax, by mail or in person as specified on the registration form. The Fee
is $705.12. Students must be at least 16 years of age and have a G1 License
prior to October 15, 2018. (KW Oct. 10)
STUDENT SERVICES
Go Eng Girl - Saturday, October 13th, 2018, 9:00 am to 2:00
pm. Cost is free. It is a unique opportunity for female students
in Grades 7 to 10 and their parents to learn about careers in the exciting

Concordia University is having an Open House on Saturday, October
20th, 2018, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Sir George
Williams Campus and Loyola Campus. Register at concordia.ca/openhouse
Plus, portfolio days coming up at Concordia are: Saturday,
October 20th, and February 16, 2019. Get one-on-one constructive
feedback about your work and learn more about their programs and how to

Attention all

A representative from Josten's Rings will be in the
atrium, at lunch time, on October 15th and 16th. See

There will be an important meeting for all grade 12 students Wednesday,
September 26th during period 4. Students would report to their period
4 class for attendance and to pick up their status sheet before heading to the
meeting. Students who have a spare NEED to attend this "Everything you
need to know for Grade 12" meeting.
Students who are College bound will report to The Learning Commons.
Students who are University bound will head to Gym C/D (College
information will be provided at this meeting as well.)
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
LF Volunteers: St Luke School
at 60 Mountshannon Drive is having their
Fall Harvest event on Saturday, October
20th they need about 15-20 volunteers to help with various tasks that
day from 12-4:30 . The work
involves doing activities with children, taking tickets,
serving food, clean up, etc. Please contact Steven Boucher by email (with your full name and grade level) at steven.boucher@gmail.com if
you can commit to volunteering that day. (MO Oct.19)
LF Volunteers: The Nepean Blue Devils Association for the Midget
recreational girls team is in need for an assistant coach with good knowledge
of the game for the season starting October 2018 to March 2019. Practices
are at the Adrianne Clarkson School in Barrhaven on Tuesdays
from 8-10pm and games are usually on Saturdays (different times). There
are no out of town tournaments only a local championship at the end of the
season. We are looking for any Grade 11 or 12 students (girls and

LF Volunteers: Do you have what it
takes? Watson’s Mill in Manotick wants you to join our cast and crew for a
truly haunting experience. We need volunteers for who will scare our visitors
and leave them frighten of things that go bump in the night. Haunt Night
volunteers will be needed for the evenings of October 18th,
19th, and 20th from 5pm – 10pm.All time
spent as part of our cast and crew can be used towards the 40 hours of
community service needed to graduate. Please sign up by
