7/8 Ultimate: Ultimate
practices will take place Monday, September 24th and Tuesday, September
25th from 7:30 to 8:25 am (KS Sept. 25)
7/8 Volleyball: Any 7/8 girls
interested in trying out for this year volleyball team is invited to sign up
(near the gym) and attend the 2
tryouts Tuesday, September 25th and Thursday, September 27th. (MC Sept. 27)
The Learning Commons lunch passes are now available to sign out.
Please stop at the Learning Commons' main desk, before 8:35am, and sign

Yoga - All Grade 7 and 8
students are welcome to come to yoga in
the Dance Studio at 12:40 on Tuesdays. Starts September 25th. No experience necessary. Yoga mats will be

Attention all High School Cross Country athletes, if you have not yet handed in the permission forms and
medical forms and paid your team fees please do so ASAP in order to be eligible
for the meet next week! See Mrs. Galbraith in room 304 if you have any

Driver Education Fall 2018
Program.
Forms are available in Student Services. Registration
runs until October 10th.
Do not bring back the form to Student Services, but register either online, by
fax, by mail or in person as specified on the registration form. The Fee
is $705.12. Students must be at least 16 years of age and have a G1 License
prior to October 15, 2018. (KW Oct. 10)
HS Girls Hockey: High School
girls interested in trying out for the hockey team are asked to sign up outside
room 110 and pick up a form from Mr Pelletier. Tryouts are at Walter
Baker on Monday, October 15th and Monday October 29th from 3:20 to 4:30. (MP Oct. 29)
Students in Gr. 9-12 wishing to be a tutor are invited to pick up a tutoring application in Student
Services. (MB Sept. 28)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
LF Volunteers: Do you have what it takes? Watson’s Mill in Manotick wants you to join
our cast and crew for a truly haunting experience. We need volunteers for who
will scare our visitors and leave them frighten of things that go bump in the
night. Haunt Night volunteers will be needed for the evenings of October 18th, 19th, and 20th
from 5pm – 10pm.All time spent as part of our cast and crew can be
used towards the 40 hours of community service needed to graduate. Please sign up by emailing programs@watsonsmill.com

LF Volunteers: OIAF needs more volunteers for the Animation Expose trade show at the
NAC. Saturday, September 29th 8:00am to 4:30pm. Volunteers help with
Animation booths. Interested students can speak to Ms. OSullivan in the coop

LF Volunteers: The Knight's of Columbus and CWL at
St. Patrick's Parish in Fallowfield are looking for students who would be interested in earning volunteer
hours by helping out at our Fall Supper this year. It is taking
place in the parish hall at 15 Steeple Hill Crescent on Sunday, September 23rd, from 5-7pm. We would like 10 to 15 students to work with us
from 4-8pm. For further

Students will need to have their own transportation to and from the
event. The student volunteers will
be expected to help set up, clear tables, help package the take out meals, pour
juice, help with clean up etc. They will not be responsible for serving
