Tuesday, May 15th is the final day of the Scholastic Book and therefore, the last chance for staff and students to purchase some amazing books and
products. A big thank you for everyone's support of our fundraiser. All funds raised will be used to buy literacy resources for our Learning Commons. (NBD May 15)
7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS

7/8 Waterloo Math Contest:  For the 7/8 students who signed up and paid for the Waterloo Math Contest, we will be meeting on Tuesday, May 15th at 8:30 in the Learning Commons to write the contest. Please bring pencils, eraser and a calculator. (calculators on phones are not permitted) (KS May 15)

7/8 Rugby Team: Are you looking for good sport to practice team work, respect and confidence? The Barrhaven Scottish rugby team is looking for new recruits between the ages of 7 to 17. It is a great hobby to be part of. For more information, contact the emails matching your age group on the flyers posted on the 2nd and 3rd floor.

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hey SMT! Would you like a chance to get a FREE ticket to the Ultimate Frisbee Buyout on May 17th? Well you're in luck! The SMT Ultimate Frisbee Promotional Team will be having a Frisbee Scavenger Hunt from Monday, May 14th to Thursday, May 17th. A frisbee will be hidden somewhere around the school, whoever finds the frisbee will receive one free buyout ticket (value is $2). There will be one frisbee hidden per day, once it is found it should be brought to the front office. Kindly ask one of the office administrators to put your name, grade and 4th period teacher's name on it. Good luck - and don't forget to listen to the clues!! (TN May 17)

Driver's Ed: Come pick up your registration form in Student Services for the summer program.  You can register online at conted.ocsb.ca or by mailing/faxing/dropping off the registration form to the Continuing Education Department at 570 West Hunt Club Road. Registration runs until June 28, 2018. (KW June 28)

Youth Night: Starting Friday, June 8th every second Friday. For ages 12-16 at 7-9pm

Dual Credit at Algonquin College gives students the opportunity to experience a college course, while students earn credits towards both their high school diploma and their post secondary education. 
Courses vary by semester and are offered across a variety of College programs.
All students in grades 10 and 11 that are interested in the Dual Credit Program for next school year but missed the meeting should come by student services to pick up a pamphlet and application form.

Summer School: We have both the public and catholic school boards' summer school registration forms in Student Services.  Drop by early morning, lunch time, after school to pick up your forms. Students, parents and guidance counsellors need to sign these forms.  June 28th is the final registration date for both boards. (KW June 28)

The Graduation Ceremony is Wednesday, June 27th at 1:00 pm at the Metropolitan Bible Church.
Each graduate will be given 2 tickets for guests. 

Students can request extra tickets by going to my.mths.ca between Tuesday, May 1st and Thursday, May 31st. No extra tickets can be requested after May 31st. Students will be informed exactly how many extra tickets they will receive shortly thereafter. (TC May 31)

A Message from Carleton University: The Enriched Support program – ESP – is designed for students that don’t meet the traditional entrance requirements. We offer students the chance to begin first-year study with structured academic support in the form of weekly support workshops. Students who finish our program with the necessary average are guaranteed admission to many programs at Carleton. We also have Information Nights coming up on May 18th and June 1st. It's back by popular demand, Aspiring Artists! This summer camp is looking for volunteers here at St. Mother Teresa High School. Camp dates are:  July 16-20 and July 23-27. Please call 613-296-3726.

LF Volunteers: Ottawa Children’s Festival  May 11- May 15.  The volunteer works with the Festival Staff at the onsite box-office, which is usually open from 8:45am – 4:00pm every day of the Festival. Because of the nature of this job, we appreciate volunteers who can work for several days. The box office generally needs 4 – 6 volunteers each day.

Volunteer Duties include: Taking orders and filling out our forms, Selling tickets, Tracking sales, Checking and confirming arrival lists for school groups, Schlepping – carrying items to/from the office and storage trailer, Other tasks as assigned by the box-office manager
