The Scholastic Book Fair has arrived! Every year
Scholastic provides several amazing books and gifts to purchase in our
“bookstore” (Learning Commons Seminar Room). Both high school and intermediate
students are welcome to drop by before, after school, or during the lunch hour.
All funds raised are used to buy literacy resources for our Learning Commons. (NBD Nov. 16)
TITANWEAR
ORDERING TIME HAS ARRIVED. If you would like
to be the first to wear St. Mother Teresa Titanwear please let your parent know
that they can order on line. The flyer and the link is on the school
website under "Our School" at the bottom of the page. You can
come to room 216 any time to try on anything to figure out your size. Grade

String Ensemble: Do you play a string instrument? Would you like
to be a part of St. Mother Teresa's new string ensemble? All students grade 7
to 12 are welcome to join. Please see Mr. Card in room 120. (IC Nov. 17)
Looking
for Math Enrichment opportunities in our community? If so, Carleton
University's Math Enrichment Centre is offering a new course: Math Connections
in Arts, Science and Beyond, for Grade 8 to 10 students. Classes will
run from Sept. 26, 2017 to April 2018 on Tuesday evenings

Any interested female students in Grades 7 - 12 interested
in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) are
invited to the Technovation presentation on Thursday, NOV 16th at 12: 15. (Intermediate
students can bring their lunch to this presentation.) Jennifer Francis
from the Ottawa Chapter of womenpoweringtechnology.org will
be presenting. The presentation will be held in our Learning Commons. (SH Nov. 16)

United Church. Need students from 1pm to 4:30pm. Must

LF Volunteers: Mayor's 17th Annual Christmas
Celebration taking place at Ottawa City Hall from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday,
December 9th, 2017. Please apply online at: www.ottawa.ca/volunteer

Arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. at the
Festival Control Boardroom (located on the 1st floor of City
Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West) to sign-in, get a
briefing on how the event will unfold, have a bite to eat and get into
position. A light lunch will be provided to volunteers before the
event. Please be prepared to work until approximately 7:30 p.m. given
that we will need help after the event to assist with clean up.
In compliance with Ontario law, all volunteers must
have completed their AODA training to volunteer for an event. If you have

All volunteers
under the age of 18 require the signature of their parent / guardian.

majority of festivities will be taking place outdoors, therefore, please

LF Volunteers: We
are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to man our kettles at over 35 locations
across Ottawa. Our campaign runs from November 23rd to December
23rd, operating every day with the exception of Sundays. All money
raised stays in the city of Ottawa to support various programs of the Salvation
Army. Evenings and Saturdays are available for those interested in hours. Please
note that students over the age of 16 are able to attend the kettle alone,
under that age they must be accompanied by an adult. Register

LF Volunteers: If you are looking to do something
in the school at senior lunch time, please consider helping out with the
transformation of milk bags into sitting mats in the Career Center just off of
Student Services. Bring your lunch!
