We will have volunteers from our own university undergraduate and graduate students, as well as staff, retired faculty and other geologists in the Ottawa area placed at 6 sites across the National Capital region from 10am to 3pm on that Saturday, speaking to the public about the interesting geological features of the site.  We are hoping there might be some students interested in Geology or the outdoors willing to come and assist us with engaging the public.  They will  learn about the site, gain experience speaking to the public and log some of their volunteer hours.  The sites where we could use some help are Cardinal Creek Karst, in Orleans, and the Pinhey Sand Dunes in Nepean, however help at any of the other sites would be welcome.
