The Multicultural Show is canceled this year. Thanks to all students who tried out. (AB May 18)
At the end of the day,
the expectation for students who are not involved in any extracurricular
activities, is that students leave the building and make their way home.
Students who wish to remain after school to watch a school sporting event, are
also expected to leave immediately after the game. Make sure
transportation arrangements are made in advance. In the future, students
who are found loitering around the school at the end of the day will formally
speak to an administrator. (MK)
During the lunch period, no High School student
is permitted on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the new wing which is the 7/8
classroom areas. (MK)

Leadership Camp 2017: All grade 11 students, who have attended camp in
the past and would like to be a group leader at next year’s Leadership Camp,
are asked to see Mrs. Byrne in Student Services before Thursday. (EB May 18)
Congratulations to
the students participating in the Toronto Biology Competition. Mother Teresa
placed 48th out of 263 participating schools across Canada. Special shout out
to A.H. who tied with three other students to place 41st out of over 3000
participating students. He earned the distinction of "National Biology
Scholar".Well done team! (SS May 23)
Girls Softball: There will be
a girls softball practice after school on Tuesday, May 23 from 3-4 at the field across the street. See you

To all students who have signed up for coop next year. Please send your resume to coop@mths.ca . Employers will only consider students
who have resumes. Students can do a resume through My Blueprint or through the
coop website at http://cooposullivan.weebly.co m/resumes.html. We are currently
interviewing students for fall coop placements. If you have not handed in your
coop application, please do so in Student Services. (MO 31 May)

including information about: Community Service Hours Opportunities, Courses,
Careers, Graduation, Scholarships, etc.
Driver Education Program Summer
2017. Registration forms are now available in Student Services. Register
on-line at conted.ocsb.ca, by fax 613-224-9253, by mail or in person at the Ottawa Catholic School
Board, 570 West Hunt Club Road, Nepean. (KW)
Summer Coop for SHSM students: Any student currently enrolled in a
Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM Energy or ICT) are eligible to attend a
summer Coop to fulfil the requirement for the SHSM designation. Please
see your Guidance Counsellor to apply. The registration deadline
is Thursday, May 18. (JH May 18)
There will be an information meeting for Dual Credit at 11:30 in
the Career Centre in Student Services on Tuesday May 2. Dual Credit
is for students going into grades 11 and 12 next year. It gives students an
opportunity to take a course at Algonquin College and earn a high school and
college credit. The course usually runs once a week. For more info; pick up a
pamphlet in student services, come to the meeting at lunch, make an appointment
on my.mths.ca and
check out the website http://www.algonquincollege.com/AP/courses. Registration is open from May
1-19 and must be done through a guidance counsellor. (TC May 19)
Summer School Registration forms
from the Ottawa Catholic School Board are now available in Student Services. Registration period is
from May 1 to June 28. Final registration date is Wednesday,
June 28, from 9am to 1pm at St. Nicholas Adult High School (West
Campus) 893 Admiral Avenue. Forms must be completed/signed by student and
parent and then approved by a Student Services counsellor. Summer school
locations are Holy Trinity HS, Immaculata HS, St. Pius X HS and L.B. Pearson
HS. L.B. Pearson has online courses only. (KW)
The 105th Grey Cup and Festival
is coming to Ottawa in November 2017 and RNation will welcome Our Nation. We R looking
for the best of the best volunteers to be RNation Ambassadors and host the most
memorable Grey Cup Festival ever. We can’t do it without you.Volunteer dates
start November 21st and conclude November 26th, 2017.

Boat Festival, Mooney's Bay Park, June 22-25, 2017. LF volunteers for
bike parking, children's area, docks and staging, green team, VIP and Festival

Volunteers needed for the Nepean Eagles Football Club. LF
cheerleading coaches to teach cheers and half-time dance routines to junior and
senior squads. Spring Camp is May 23, 24, 25th. Cheerleaders
practice twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) at Bob Stephen Park in
