Just a reminder that there will be no Cafeteria service for High School Students during exams (June 17-24). It will be open for 7/8 lunch only. (MR June 24)
Silhouettes Contest in the Learning Commons: Drop by the Learning Commons to see 40 different silhouettes of classic characters. Complete the contest form by filling in all of the names of the characters and the titles of the movies and/or books they are from and you will be entered into a draw for a prize. Forms are available at the main desk in the Learning Commons. Happy guessing! (NBD June 8)

Leadership Camp 2015 - All students currently in Grade 8 - 11 who are interested in attending Leadership Camp in September 2015 are asked to pick up an application outside of room 311. Only students who have not attended camp before should apply. Applications are due Tuesday, June 9th and can be dropped off to room 311 or 102. (CV June 9)

SchoolCashOnline: Our adoption rate has been climbing since we launched on October 31, 2014. Thank you to all of the families who have already registered!! Remember, online payments are quick and easy. There's no waiting for your cheque to be processed...BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! If you need a refund, they can be done right away without a trip to the bank!! So, if you haven't registered, check it out at www.mths.ca, click on the schoolcash online link on the left hand side and register today! Don't forget to attach your child to your account so that every time an activity comes up, you will receive an email notification!! Then all you have to do is go to the account and pay! Grade 8 Semi-Formal: Permission forms and payment for grade 8 Semi-Formal are due to your homeroom teacher by this Thursday, June 4th. (KS June 4)

7-8 Boys Softball: There will be a practice Wednesday June 3 and Thursday June 4 from 3:00-4:15pm Eagles Nest. Please let Mme. Beraldin know if you will not attend. (JB June 4)

High School Athletic Banquet will be hosted here at MT on Wednesday, June 10th.
Dinner at 6:30 pm and Awards at 7:30 pm. Tickets will be distributed on June 8 & 9. (JL June 10)

The STUDENT SERVICES WEBSITE at ss.mths.ca is set up as an information tool, including information about: Community Service Hours Opportunities, Courses, Careers, Graduation, Scholarships, etc.
Attention Students Interested in Music or a Career in Music: Hummingbird Music Ltd. (HML) offers a unique co-op opportunity for high school students who may be interested in the music and entertainment industry.
This year, HML worked with 22 students from 14 high schools across Ottawa and The Shenkman Arts Center in Orleans will show their work on June 2 and 3. If you think you would like to try out a music industry placement with Hummingbird through MTHS Coop, please speak to Mrs. OSullivan or Mr Nearing in the coop office (Room 320). (MO June 5)

Summer Driver Education Program registration forms have arrived in Student Services.
You have up to June 19th to register either online at www.summerconnections.com, or by mailing or dropping off the registration form to the Continuing Education Department (570 West Hunt Club Road) or by calling 613-228-3338 to register with Visa or Master Card payment. (KW June 19)
Coop Interviews Have Started! Make sure that your application form has been filled out and handed into Mrs. Watkinson in Student Services so that you can get interviewed for your dream job! Employers are hiring now for the best opportunities.

2015 Summer School Program from the Ottawa Catholic School Board.
Registration forms are now available in Student Services.
Register May 1st to June 25th through your Student Services Department.
All registration forms must be signed by you, a parent/guardian and your counsellor.
If unable to do so before June 25th, you will have to do so in person, on June 29th
from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at St. Nicholas Adult High School located at 893 Admiral Avenue.
The Numeracy/Literacy Summer School Program is for students currently in Grade 6, 7 or 8.
These courses are designed to enhance the English and Mathematics skills of students who are
at level 2 or lower. Students receive encouragement, gain confidence and learn how to improve organizational skills required at the Grade 7, 8 or 9 levels. (KW June 25)

Attention Grade 11 students. Are you interested in visiting Halifax, Nova Scotia this summer?
Saint Mary's University is hosting a weekend visit on July 18th and 19th. The cover the costs for a parent and a student to stay on campus, take part in engaging workshops and get a taste of Halifax culture. My name is Andrew Shaffer and I am helping organize our end of year school event. Our school is having an end of year BBQ on June 4th. We are in need of some high school students to serve food, beverages, help with set up and clean up. The time of the BBQ needed would be from 4:30-7:30

It's back!! The Touch a Truck Event, at the Lincoln Fields Shopping Centre from 10 am to 3:00 pm on June 14th, 2015. Last year over 5,500 people came to climb on board the 45+ big trucks - emergency, construction, towing and armed forces.
We need volunteers. Sign up for shifts. 7 am to 10 am, 9:45 am to 1:15 pm, 12:45 pm to 4:00 pm, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Feel free to contact Tina Milito at tina_milito@mothercraft.com There is an orientation session on June 1st at 6:30pm at Lincoln Fields Shopping Centre. (KW June 14)

On Saturday, May 30th, Farley Mowat Public School will be hosting their 8th Annual Mayfair Carnival. Looking for students for the day of the event (Saturday, May 30th) as well as the Thursday, May 21st to deliver flyers in the neighbourhood. They would be helping with setup, take down, carnival games, bbq, raffle, prize booth, etc.We have an orientation session on Thursday May 21s at 6:30and delivery of flyers from 7 - 9.We are looking for volunteers on the Friday night (5-8 pm) and then if they work the entire Saturday, we start at 8 and go until 4. The West Ottawa Soccer Club is currently looking for coaches for the U4, U5 and U6 teams. No experience necessary as you would be working with very young kids who are just being introduced to soccer. We are currently looking for new volunteers for our exciting Ottawa Music Expo event taking place during the Music & Beyond festival on July 5, 2015. The volunteer team will assist with workshops, handing out brochures and balloons along the canal to encourage families to attend the Ottawa Music Expo. There will be many volunteer opportunities available including set up and tear down of the event so feel free to contact our volunteer coordinator who will work with you to find a position that you are interested in.Volunteer positions include (but are not limited to)(KW July 5)

Pre-Festival – Pre-festival volunteers help with office-related tasks such as advanced ticket sales and concert preparation.
Usher - Ushers greet patrons, take tickets, and direct people to their seats
Box Office - Box Office volunteers sell tickets at the door, as well as any other merchandise for that particular event.
Stage Crew – The Stage Crew helps move equipment and stage pieces and assists the stage manager as needed for the performance
