7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS

7/8 BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM: A reminder for the Boys 7/8 Basketball team about their games this week: Monday, April 20 at St Paul’s and Wednesday, April 22nd at Holy Trinity. Teachers: Please allow the members of the team to leave early (2:20) to catch the bus for their game. Students: Arrange to be picked up at Mother Teresa anytime after 5:30. (Apr 22)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS: Some of the new titles include the latest in the Alex Rider series Snakehead by Anthony Horowitz, Wounded by Eric Walters, and Bounce by Natasha Friend. Drop by the library to pick up a flyer. Orders are due April 20th. (Apr 20)

ATTENTION MEMBERS OF THE VARSITY BOYS SOCCER TEAM: There will be a very important meeting for all members of the soccer team, on Tuesday, April 21st at lunch. Please meet outside Mr. MacCuaig's office in the 7/8 Phys Ed area at 11:45. (Apr 21)

ATTENTION ALL CO-OP STUDENTS! This is a reminder that the Co-op Career Fair will take place in the Atrium on Thursday April 23 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please report to the Atrium at 12:30 to set up your project board. All morning and afternoon co-op students must be present for the fair. Classroom visits to the fair will start to arrive at 1:00. Morning students should go to their co-op placement in the morning unless other arrangements have been made with Mrs. O’Sullivan. (Apr 22)

STRATFORD 2009: Please submit your second deposit this week to Mrs. Simpson in Rm 138. ONE spot is left available for the Stratford trip in October of 2009. See Mrs. Simpson in Rm 138 to claim this spot. (Apr 23)

BLOOD DONOR CLINIC: Students interested in donating blood at the Mother Teresa Blood Donor Clinic (May 1st) can do so in their Homeroom (speak to your HR teacher). Students who do not have a class period 1 can see Mrs. McLaughlin in room 130 to sign up for the clinic. Minimum age is 17 years. (Apr 27)

SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION: Registration forms are now available for students interested in taking summer school courses during July. There are make up courses and reach ahead courses for high school students as well as numeracy/literacy courses for students in Grades 7, 8 & 9. If you are interested, please pick up a form and info package in the Student Services office. (Apr. 23)

THE OTTAWA CITIZEN CAREER FAIR: Ottawa Hampton Inn and Conference Centre on April 28, 2009. Entrance is free and includes Conferences through the day. We will spotlight careers in Engineering and Hi-Tech, as well as General Career Openings. Exhibitors include: Public Works, RCMP, the Canadian Forces, Ottawa Citizen and many more.
