Day 1 - H.S. & Day 3 - Gr. 7 & 8

ATTENTION ALL CO-OP STUDENTS! Please check your folder in Student Services for copies of your Work Education Agreement. Please take one copy to your employer, give one copy to your parents and keep one copy for yourself.

RESEARCH HELP: Are you having difficulty with choosing a topic for your research assignment, writing a thesis, choosing credible sources, searching, citing your sources of information, choosing a format for your presentations? One-on-one assistance with research and school assignments is available in the library from 3:00pm to 4:00pm any night of the week.

UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA VISIT: A representative from the University of Ottawa will be here, in the library, during period 2, this Friday (Feb. 20) to meet with Grade 12 students who have applied to U of O for Sept. '09. It is an opportunity for these students to clarify items, ask questions about programs, scholarships, timetabling, etc. It is only for students who have already applied to the University of Ottawa. Students must report to their period 2 class prior to coming to the library.

PEER HELPING: There will be a meeting on Friday, February 20 at the start of lunch in Room 134 for all Peer Helpers.

MATH CONTESTS:
The 5th CNML Math Contest takes place Tuesday. Feb 24th during period 4. Students wishing to participate should report to their period 4 class for attendance before making their way to Room 322 for the contest. Please bring a pencil and a calculator. Everyone is welcome to participate

STRATFORD - OCTOBER 2009: The trip to Stratford needs 14 more students to keep it alive! It promises to be a fun-filled three days. Please see Mrs. Simpson by Friday, February 20th.

HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLASTIC ORDERS: The best books for teen readers! Titles this month include Ninth Grade Slays, Natasha Friend Duo, Twilight, Love To Spy Pack, Inkdeath, Icefire Collection, Simply Guitar, Naruto Collector Winter 2008/2009 and more. Brochures are available in the library. Orders are due Monday, February 23.

WHITE PINE: If you enjoy reading, bring your lunch to the next White Pine meeting on Friday during high school lunch. New members welcome.

DANCE MONTH - February is dance month at Mother Teresa. High School Students are invited to come out TODAY and try salsa dancing with a free lesson by an expert instructor. Monday is break dancing! Beginners are welcome and all classes take place in the dance room during high school lunch. So come out and have fun learning some new moves!

7/8 REACH FOR THE TOP: The Purple Monkey Nuggets will be playing the FTMRA on Friday, February 20 at 12:50. Please go to Ms. Curtis' Room. Be on time!!

YEARBOOK: There will be a brief yearbook meeting TODAY at 11:45am in Room 103. Students who took photos of the Cake Auction & Valentine's Day, or who have photos from the Dominican Republic trip, are asked to attend in order to download their photos and return any borrowed yearbook cameras. Any students who are interested in taking photos of the Casino Night Dance on Friday, or in working on the layout for remaining pages are also asked to attend. Please see Mrs. Hopkins if you are interested in helping out but can't make the meeting.

AFTER SCHOOL LITERACY PROGRAMME: This is a reminder to all students that the class has been changed from Wednesday after school to Thursday after school this week.

GRADS - BABY PHOTOS: Grads who submitted their baby photos for the yearbook can pick them up from Mrs. Watkinson in Student Services this week.

TUTOR NEEDED: Looking for a male tutor for a 7-year-old boy. Tutoring in Math, English, Science...up to twice a week. Please call Marie at 613 692-4318.
