LIBRARY CLOSURE: The library will be closed after school on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM: The International Student Exchange Corporation (ISE) offers Ontario students a variety of educational programs through the school year and in the summer. Some are two and three month reciprocal exchanges during the school year in France, Switzerland, Spain and Germany and some are one-month summer exchanges in France, Spain and Quebec. ISE will be holding a meeting this Thursday, January 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board at 440 Albert St. Ottawa in the Lecture Hall. 7/8 GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM: Attention all 7/8 girls trying out for the Basketball team. Try-outs will be TODAY and Wednesday, January 28 at 3:15pm. Please be prompt!
7/8 BADMINTON: Grade 8 students interested in trying out for the Badminton team are reminded the try-out will take place in the Cafeteria Gym TODAY from 3:15 - 4:00pm. Speak to Mme. Kinloch or Mrs. Jewitt for more information.
7/8 CROSS COUNTRY SKATE SKI: Learn how to skate ski and get out of class! All equipment is PROVIDED. Qualified instructors come to Mother Teresa. Please see Ms. McKenna for details.
7/8 GIRLS: Any girls interested in trying out for the 7/8 girls' basketball team are asked to sign up on the sheet outside Room 236.
COLLEGE APPLICATIONS: The deadline is Monday, February 2nd. You need your OEN number to complete the application. See your Guidance Counsellor if you do not have your number or if you need assistance.
DRIVER EDUCATION PROGRAM: Reminder that the Driver Education Program registration forms are available in Student Services. Registrations run from January 14th to February 17th. Hurry in.
LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS: Farley Mowat Public School is hosting a Family Fun Dance on Thursday, February 12th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and volunteers are needed from 5pm-9pm to help set-up, to work the concession stands and bake sale, take tickets at the door and supervise a coloring corner. VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED: To help with the 2009 Outdoor Summer Soccer Registration. Please contact Nancy Damiano at registrar@osu.ca or phone the office at 692-4179, extension 113. All volunteers are encouraged to attend an information meeting on Thursday, February 5th at the South Nepean Park Fieldhouse. Students will be credited the time for the meeting along with their hours worked. The three registration dates at Mother Teresa High School are: Saturday, February 7th, 9:30am to 2pm; Thursday, February 12th, 6pm to 8pm; Saturday, February 21st, 9:30am to 2pm.
