Day 1 - H.S. & Day 5 - Gr. 7 & 8

ENRICHMENT GROUP:
Enrichment group meeting during 7 & 8 Lunch today in Room 132.

7/8 STUDENT COUNCIL: All 7/8 Homeroom Reps are asked to come to a brief meeting at the start of lunch tomorrow, Thursday, October 25th, in Room 339. If you cannot attend the meeting, please see Ms. Daigeler for information.

HAT/PAJAMA DAY FOR UNITED WAY: Pull out your fuzzy slippers and hats and show your support for United Way and the many youth organizations it supports. Pay a loonie ($1) in your home room to wear your pajamas and/or hat on Friday, October 26th.

SOCKS AND CEREAL: Peer Helpers will continue collecting Socks and Cereal until Friday to support Operation Go Home and Ottawa's street youth. Please remember to bring in new or clean socks and boxes of cereal.

VOCAL GROUP: A reminder to all students in the vocal group that practices will resume starting today, Wed. Oct 24th, in the chapel after school (3:15) If you would like to be involved in the Evening for the Arts please plan to attend. Information about other upcoming events will also be shared at this time. If you cannot make this practice, please see Mrs. Symes in room 336 before the end of the day.

YEARBOOK COMMITTEE: All Yearbook Committee members who attended the In-Design training workshop are asked to attend a meeting this Thursday, October 25th at 3:05 in Room 103 to continue working on page design. The student editors will also be giving an important presentation on layout and design.

INTRAMURALS: Dodgeball intramurals begin today, check the Intramural schedule for upcoming matches: TODAY: Juggernaughts vs Transformers and Soulja Boys vs President's Choice. Thursday: ROB's vs No Names and Acidic Purple Rain vs Terra. Friday: No Names vs Terra and ROB's vs Acidic Purple Rain

INTRAMURAL SOCCER: Soccer sign ups begin this week, get your teams in early. Only a maximum of 8 teams will be accepted. First come first served. Envelopes and team forms can be found at Mr. Prigent's Phys. Ed. office. Deadline is November 2. $1 per player.

SKI CLUB - GRADE 7-12: Winter is almost here and that means lots of fresh snow! It's almost time to dust off those skis and snowboards and get them ready for another season. Are you interested in becoming part of Mother Teresa's ski and snowboarding club? If so, Grade 7 and 8 students can pick up a form from Ms. Merklinger in Room 337 and high school students can pick up a form from Mr. Linke in room 212. Please pick up forms between 8:30 and 8:50 am. Return completed forms to Ms. Merklinger and Mr. Linke.

CAPPIES: Please get a field trip permission form from Mrs. Simpson in room 300. It must be completed before October 31.

BOYS HOCKEY: Hockey team members are to check Mr. Prigent's office for team lists for the next two practices. They are exhibition games, all players can attend, but can only play on the day they are scheduled to play. If you cannot make your scheduled day, you may switch with another player.

VIMY TRIP PARTICIPANTS: Could all the students that went on last year’s Vimy trip please stop by room 212 TODAY, at lunch, to see Mr. Coxall about a Remembrance Day concert at Notre Dame Cathedral on November 10th.

COFFEE HOUSE AUDITIONS: All students who signed up to audition for the Coffee House TODAY and Friday are asked to report to the Dance Studio for their audition. Those with audition times after 4 pm, please be 30 minutes early in case the judges are ready for you prior to your scheduled time.

REMINDER TO CO-OP STUDENTS: Thursday, October 25 is an in-school Integration Day. Co-op students must come to school for their regular co-op class with Mrs. O’Sullivan on that day. Students should remind their employers that they will not be at work on that day. Students are asked to meet at the computer lab and to bring with them their journals (12 entries) and their first employer evaluation (E1 of the PPLP).

ALGONQUIN COLLEGE OPEN HOUSE: Students are reminded to return their permission form for the Algonquin Open House, which is taking place this Friday. Deadline to return the form is TODAY.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED: The Friendship Circle of Ottawa is looking for teen volunteers to be buddies of children with special needs in the area of this school. The goal is to offer friendship by going to their homes for one hour a week. You can go by yourself or in pairs. The Friendship Circle offers training and events like BBQs and workshops.
