Day 1 – H.S. & Day 1 - Gr. 7 & 8

GRADE 7s AND 8s - COME ON OUT TO THE MULTICULTURAL CLUB:
We are looking for students interested in joining this club. Learn about other countries and cultures - special days on the calendar, play games, have guest speakers, learn about social justice issues, etc. One thing we would like to plan for this year is a multicultural festival with booths from different countries. Do you have a country you would like to highlight or share with others? Come on out to room 306 TODAY at lunch to join the fun and hear what it is all about. See Mrs. Birmingham if you have any questions.

7/8 GIRLS GAELIC FOOTBALL: Team Practice on TODAY, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. See Ms. McKenna if you cannot attend.

STUDENT ELECTIONS GR. 7 – 12: There will be a student vote on Thursday, October 4. Students will have the opportunity to vote for a provincial party. Students will also be voting on a referendum question regarding our electoral system. Please research the different platforms and policies of the various provincial parties (Liberal, Conservative, New Democrat, Green) in order to make an informed decision. See you at the polls!

HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA PRODUCTION: There will be a very important information meeting regarding this year’s high school play TODAY at 11: 45 on stage. Bring your lunch.

LIVE IT UP! Reminder to All Live it Up members and those interested in joining our team this year. There will be a meeting TODAY at 11:45 a,m. in the Career Centre. Hope to see you all there.

BOYS HOCKEY:
A reminder that this week the Varsity Boys hockey team practices TODAY and will be away all day Wednesday for a tournament. Only those who have paid their fees will be eligible to play in the tournament. Deadline for payment is TODAY at practice. Any questions, please see Mr. Prigent.

REMINDER TO GRADS: There are two Gr. 12 assemblies this week -- one TODAY, during period 3 and one on Thursday, during period 3. Both are held in the Library. Topics include grad requirements, post-secondary options, college and university application process and scholarships. Grade 12s have been divided into two groups. Student invitations were distributed in homerooms yesterday indicating which session to attend. If you have any concerns, please see your counsellor. Please bring your Status Sheet to the meeting.
