Day 2 - H.S. & Day 1 - Gr. 7 & 8

GRADE 7 & 8 MATH!
Any student interested in writing the Euler (grade 7) or Lagrange (grade 8) Math contests this year are asked to sign up outside room 236 by Friday, October 26th. For more information about these contests see Ms. Brownrigg.

GRADE 7-8 ENVIRONMENT CLUB: There will be a meeting for all those interested in joining the 7/8 Environment Club this Friday during lunch recess in Room 204. Please see Miss Mancini before going to the cafeteria, if you are interested.

GIRLS 7-8 VOLLEYBALL TEAM:
The girl's 7-8 volleyball team practices TODAY. Please make every effort to be there as the season starts next week.

ENRICHMENT STUDENT MEETING: TODAY @ 11:40 in Room 132. To discuss and plan for upcoming events. Bring your lunch.

STE. ANNE SKI TRIP: Tired of this weather? Imagine a blanket of snow overlooking the St-Lawrence river. This is what you will get on the Ste Anne ski trip. If this is for you, come to a meeting at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October the 16th, in room 103. This is your chance apply before everyone else. Place is limited.

ATHLETIC COUNCIL: Those who signed up for athletic council are asked to come to a brief meeting to discuss and organize intramurals. Meeting takes place in the dance studio at 11:45 a.m. TODAY.

NATUROPATHIC STUDY:
Any student interested in the field of Naturopathic Study and would like to meet with a Naturopathic Doctor, please sign up in Student services TODAY and Friday this week.

YEARBOOK: All Yearbook Committee members who are interested in attending the In-Design computer training session are reminded of the meeting TODAY at 3:05 in Room 103.

PEER HELPERS:
There will be a very important meeting of the Peer Helpers TODAY, at the start of lunch, in room 326.

BOYS HOCKEY TEAM: A reminder of practice this Friday 4-5 pm at Walter Baker.

SCHOLARSHIP INFO: The Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation ($500 - $10,000) The Loran Award. Deadline: Hand in to Student Services by Tuesday, October 16. Criteria: maintain 85% average. Demonstrate character, leadership and a commitment to the community. Application can be found at: www.loranaward.ca.

NOTICE TO GRADS: Student Services held meetings last week for all Gr. 12 grads regarding graduation requirements and post-secondary pathways (work, apprenticeship, college, and university). If you were absent for this meeting, please sign up in Student Services and counselors will meet with you.

ST. F.X. UNIVERSITY: A representative from St. F.X. University will be at Mother Teresa H.S. this Friday, Oct. 12, at 9:05 a.m. to meet with students interested in attending St. F.X. next September. If you are interested, you must sign up in Student Services prior to 3:15 TODAY. Only those signed up will be permitted to attend.

ONTARIO UNIVERSITIES IN OTTAWA: The Ontario University Information Program (UIP) will be in Ottawa on Tuesday, October 16th at A.Y. Jackson S.S. in Kanata. All 20 of Ontario's universities will have representatives on hand to give presentations on programs and admission requirements. Hours are 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

QUEBEC UNIVERSITIES IN OTTAWA: The three English language Quebec Universities, McGill, Concordia and Bishops, will have representatives in Ottawa on Thursday, Oct. 18 at Woodroffe H.S. to explain programs and admission requirements. Program begins at 7:00 p.m.

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED. The Canadian Diabetes Association is in need of door-to-door canvassers. The association will provide each student with 3 hours of community service per route. Each route contains an average of 25 houses. If interested, sign up in Student Services before October 20th or contact Amie at 613-688-5939. Thank you.
