MATH CONTEST: The first of six CNML (Canadian Math League) contests takes place on Tuesday, October 23 during period 2. Students must report to their period 2 class for attendance before making their way to the library for the contest. The contest takes 30 minutes and is open to all high school students.

COMMUNITY SERVICE – CHOIR: St. Monica’s Parish is looking for student volunteers to join their Christmas Choir. Students would commit to joining the choir, from mid-November to Christmas, for a 90-minute choir practice once a week and singing at the Masses, and either a Christmas Eve or Christmas morning mass.

Another option would be to join the choir from mid-February to Easter Sunday (March 23). Students would join the choir for weekly 90-minute practices and sing with the choir at Sunday Masses and Hoy Week devotions as assigned.

Men or women student volunteers with Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass singing voices will be welcome.

The community involvement would total approximately 20 hours of rehearsal, 15 to 18 hours of Sunday Mass, and one or two special services at Christmas or Easter. It would total almost 40 hours.

For more information on rehearsal dates and times, please pick up a handout in Student Services.
