Day 2 – H.S. & Day 1 - Gr. 7 & 8
SPIRIT WEEK!! TODAY is What Not To Wear Day, Wednesday is Celebrity Look-a-Like Day, Thursday is Titan Pride Day, and Friday is the Terry Fox Run/Walk and Battle of the Grades (Gr. 7 - Yellow, Gr. 8 - Green, Gr. 9 - Red, Gr. 10 - Blue, Gr. 11 - White, Gr. 12 - Black). Remember that the winning homerooms enjoy fabulous prizes!! Join the fun!!
On Friday, after the Terry Fox Run/Walk is our welcome BBQ and fun activities. Play Tug-of War or Dodge Ball, dance with DDR, and survive the obstacle course! We have even arranged for a few celebrities to join us! So let's go MT!! Show your SPIRIT!!
7/8 CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING: There will be a practice after school TODAY for anyone that signed up or is interested in tryout for the boys and girls cross country team. There will also be practices Wed. and Thurs. after school. Meet in front of the grade 7/8 Phys. Ed. office. Please come prepared to run.
GRADE 7 AND 8 MULTICULTURAL CLUB: For all grade 7 and 8 students interested in learning about other countries and cultures, sharing theirs, promoting anti-racism, and participating in fun activities like a multicultural day, hearing guest speakers, celebrating special days, etc. Come on out to room 306, TODAY at lunch to hear all about it.
TERRY FOX HELPERS: There is an important but very short meeting for all students helping Mrs. Galbraith with the Terry Fox Run. The meeting is TODAY, at lunch, in room 136, first floor of the new wing. Most students are from last year’s Track and Field Team. So, if Mrs. Galbraith talked to you about helping along the route OR you were a part of last year’s Track and Field Team, this meeting is FOR YOU!!!!!
TERRY FOX PLEDGE FORMS: Pledge forms and money are due Wednesday, September 26th and the Terry Fox walk is this Friday, September 28th. ! Extra pledge forms are available in the main office.
STUDENT COUNCIL EXECUTIVE: Reminder to all executive members that our meeting this week is after school TODAY, NOT at lunch. Please come to the library seminar room by 3:15 for the meeting.
POST LEADERSHIP CAMP MEETING: Could all students who went to Leadership camp, please meet in Mr. Coxall's room (212) for a very brief meeting on Wednesday, September 26th at lunch.
VARSITY GIRLS HOCKEY: There will be a meeting today at noon in Mr. Nearing's room. Also, the girls are reminded of their practice today after school at Walter Baker. Dismissal time is 2:40 pm.
ATTENTION CAPPIE CRITICS: Please stop by Rm 300 to pick up a permission form. This form is mandatory and must be returned by this Wednesday.
OUTDOOR CLUB: Members signed up for Fortune Aerial Park this Sunday are asked to pick up permission forms from Mr. Nearing in Rm. 107. This group is asked to meet at 12:00 on Wed. in rm. 107.
SENIOR CONCERT BAND MEMBERS: As announced in rehearsal on Thursday, there will be no practice TODAY due to leadership camp. Next rehearsal will be on Thursday, Sept 27th at 7:30 am. Please arrive on time as requested.
NOTICE TO GRADS: We have received extra copies of the Carleton University viewbook that was distributed to students attending last week’s presentation in the Library. If you did not get a copy, you can pick one up in the Student Services office.
UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA VISIT: University of Ottawa will be here TODAY at 9:05 a.m. in the Library.
UNIVERSITY FAIR IN TORONTO: The 2007 Ontario Universities Fair will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Friday, September 28 to Sunday September 30. All 20 of Ontario's Universities will have representatives on hand and will present hourly information sessions on admission requirements and academic programs.
