WHOLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

IN THE LEARNING COMMONS:

Mon. Jan. 12:  - Grade 8 Games club will be meeting in the Seminar Room during 7/8 Lunch.

Tues. Jan. 13:  - HS Animanga Club is meeting in the Seminar Room during HS Lunch.

Grade 7 Games Club is meeting in the Seminar Room during 7/8 Lunch.

The Learning Commons will be closed after school today for a Staff Meeting

Wed. Jan. 14:  - HS Animanga Club in the Seminar Room during HS Lunch

Friday Jan. 16:  Red Maple (7/8 Book Club) will be meeting in the Seminar Room during 7/8 Lunch

Mini-Enrichment: Students participating in mini-enrichment courses are reminded to return their signed registration forms and cheques to Mrs. McLaughlin in room 130 by Thursday, January 8th. (DM –Jan 8)

7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS

7/8 Floorball: Thanks to all who tried out for the Boy's Titan Floorball team. Practices Tues Jan 12th 3-4, Wed. Jan. 13th 3-4, Tues Jan 20th 3-4 and Thurs Jan 22nd 3-4.  All practices in the cafe gym Tues. January 27th (GR Jan. 27)

7-8 boys hockey: The second tryout for the boys hockey team will take place Wednesday January 14 @ Nepean sportsplex arena 2 from 3:30-4:30.All boys are responsible for their own transportation to the rink. Please be on time! First cut will be made. (JB Jan. 14)

Intramural Table Tennis (Ping Pong) sign ups will be at lunch in the cafeteria starting Friday January 8th. (TF Jan.12)

Any grade 7 or 8 student interested in competing in the annual OCSB Math Olympics, please see Mr. Cloutier on Monday, January12th at lunch in room 237. Please bring your lunch!  (AC Jan. 12)

The BOYS Futsal Team is reminded of their practice on Monday, January 12th from 3-4:30pm in the caf gym. (SM Jan.12)

The GIRLS Futsal Team is reminded of their practice on Thursday, January 15th from 3-4:30pm in the caf gym. (SM Jan. 15)

Grade 7/8 Dance Club: will start Monday Jan 19th from 3-4pm in the dance studio! All dancers are kindly asked to see Mrs. Donaghy for a permission form or to obtain one from the main office this Thursday Jan 8th! (CD Jan.19)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Junior Girls Volleyball: Any grade 9 or 10 girl interested in trying out for the junior girls volleyball team this year are asked to atted tryouts on Wednesday January 14th after school and Friday January 16th after school.  Please indicate your interest by adding your name, grade, and position on the sheet posted on Mrs. Ragaisis' PE office door. Biology Competition: Meeting Monday Jan 12 at lunch in room 202. Bring lunch with you. (SS Jan. 12)

Could everybody who is going on the Vermont Ski trip come to an important meeting on Tuesday January 13th in room 103.There are still a couple of spots available if you haven't yet paid a deposit. (AP Jan. 13)

Rails Girls Ottawa: is a free two-day crash course programming workshop that aims at teaching girls how to make websites using Ruby on Rails. See Mr. Hallarn if you are interested in registering. (JH Jan. 14)

Math Enrichment: Reminder of our gathering today at senior lunch.  This will be the last one of semester 1.  Our next gathering will take place on February 4th. (NR Feb. 4)

Course Selections For The Next School Year, 2015-2016: In preparation for Course selection for next year, all students in grade 8 - grade 11 are expected to have signed in to myBlueprint, myblueprint.ca/ocsb.
