NEW PROGRAM AT ALGONQUIN COLLEGE: Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley (Pembroke Campus) is launching a new Golf and Ski Operations Management Program in Fall 2008. They have launched a new web site that provides additional information about the program. It is the only program in Canada that combines golf and ski operations, it will train graduates for a full-time career. NOTE TO GRADS: Information regarding the status of your community service was not sent to OUAC or OCAS during the last transmission in November. THANK YOU! The Mother Teresa Book Fair was a big success this past week. Thank you to all students, teachers, and parents for your support. The Fair earned $946.00 in books for the Mother Teresa library. Thank you to all the students and staff for helping the Fair run smoothly. A special thank you goes to Ms. O'Sullivan and Katie Scissons. Congratulations and thank you to the Book Fair committee, Brianna Conway, Eleanor Miller, Linda Do, and Jin Lin Zhou. WELL DONE !!

A remider to parents that high school mid-term reports cards were sent home with students on Friday. In the package was a form to request a parent/teacher interview for this Thursday (Nov. 22) from 2:30 - 5;30 or 6:30 - 8:00. Please have the students return these forms as soon as possible, appointment times will fill up fast.

7/8 GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: A reminder to the Grade 7/8 members of the Girls’ Volleyball team to return their jerseys to room 237 within the next couple of days.

VOCAL GROUP: All members of the vocal group are reminded that practices for Evening for the Arts and the Advent mass, both taking place on December 13th, will start again this coming Monday, Novemeber 19th and will continue every Monday and Wednesday after school. A full commitment must be made if you would like to be a part of the singing for these events. New voices are welcome! See Mrs. Symes, if interested.

Skiers of all abilities - beginner to advanced skiers - are able to learn how to race and then compete in one of three divisions according to ability/experience. Training happens both at school and on the hill. See Mrs. Brady or Ms. Earle for more details. We will hold an information meeting on Monday, Nov. 19 at 11:45 in room 201.

INTRAMURALS: Finals are TODAY. Check the Soccer schedule TODAY, as it will be posted and the season starts Monday next week. All hockey and soccer captains are to check the team lists and make any changes before the season begins. Hockey will begin once a soccer champion has been declared. OVERSEAS H.S. CREDITS: MEI International Academy is offering overseas international credits this summer. Explore Europe, Costa Rica, or Egypt while studying and earning Ontario high school credits.
