7/8 Outdoor Club: (MF Jan. 15)

Britney: Hey Jessica, have you heard about the Matchomatics fundraiser?

Jessica: Yeah, what’s it all about?

Britney: It’s a fundraiser to pay for Outdoor Club Activities (school dance). We just fill out a FREE questionnaire on Thursday, later we’ll be able to buy a printout with matches we will have a lot in common with. Isn’t that cool!

Jessica: Awesome I can’t wait to get my printout.

Announcer: Make sure you don’t miss out on the fun and excitement of seeing your best matches. Bring a pencil and fill out your Matchomatics questionnaire on: Thursday, January 15th during Homeroom!

7-8 School Play: The rehearsals for the 7-8 school play are as follow:

Thursday January 15: Scene 1 on stage from 3:00-4:00pm

Thursday January 22: Scene 2 on stage from 3:00-4:00pm

Wednesday January 28: Scene 3 on stage from 3:00-4:00pm

Wednesday February 11: Scene 4 on stage from 3:00-4:00pm

Friday February 13: Scene 5 on stage from 3:00-4:00pm

7/8 Floorball: Thanks to all who tried out for the Boy's Titan Floorball team. Practices Tues Jan 12th 3-4, Wed. Jan. 13th 3-4, Tues Jan 20th 3-4 and Thurs Jan 22nd 3-4.  All practices in the cafe gym Tues. January 27th (GR Jan. 27)

7-8 boys Hockey: The second tryout for the boys hockey team will take place Wednesday January 14 @ Nepean sportsplex arena 2 from 3:30-4:30.All boys are responsible for their own transportation to the rink. Please be on time! First cut will be made. (JB Jan. 14)

The Girls Futsal Team is reminded of their practice on Thursday, January 15th from 3-4:30pm in the caf. gym. (SM Jan. 15)

Grade 7/8 Dance Club: will start Monday Jan 19th from 3-4pm in the dance studio! All dancers are kindly asked to see Mrs. Donaghy for a permission form or to obtain one from the main office this Thursday Jan 8th! (CD Jan.19)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS


The Prom Fashion Show will be taking place on Wednesday, February 4th, from 7 to 9,in the school Cafeteria.  All of the female models have been selected to model  fashions from Marry Merry: DRESSES FOR WEDDING, EVENING, AND PROM.   At this time we are looking for male students in Grades 11 and 12 who would be interested in modeling clothing from Moores: Clothing For Men will be showcased.  Anyone interested is invited to drop by room 314. Math Enrichment:  Students in grade 9 to 11 planning to write the Waterloo Math Contest are reminded to bring $5 to their enrichment teacher BEFORE exams.  You must bring in your money to be registered to write the contest on February 24.  We will meet next on Wednesday, February 4th. (NR Feb. 24)

Junior Girls Volleyball: Any grade 9 or 10 girl interested in trying out for the junior girls volleyball team this year are asked to atted tryouts on Wednesday January 14th after school and Friday January 16th after school.  Please indicate your interest by adding your name, grade, and position on the sheet posted on Mrs. Ragaisis' PE office door. Rails Girls Ottawa: is a free two-day crash course programming workshop that aims at teaching girls how to make websites using Ruby on Rails. See Mr. Hallarn if you are interested in registering. (JH Jan. 14)

Math Enrichment: Reminder of our gathering today at senior lunch.  This will be the last one of semester 1.  Our next gathering will take place on February 4th. (NR Feb. 4)

Classes run from February 18th to June 1st.

Students must meet with their Guidance Counsellor to discuss course selection, complete the registration form and have a parent bring the completed/signed form to:
