Ski/Snowboard Club: information packages are now available in the main office.  There is a 3-step registration process this year that includes first completing the online portion at my.mths.ca.  Online registration, permission forms, and payment are due by Wednesday, December 17th. Would all acts performing in the revival of Mocha Teresa please attend a short meeting Thursday, December 11th at lunch in room 200. If you cannot attend please see Mrs. Byrne.  (EB Dec. 11)
7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Grade 7/8 Photo Club will meet in room 339 on Wednesday at lunch (12:40-1:00). (HL Dec. 10)

Any 7/8 girl interested in trying out for the 7/8 girls hockey team is asked to attend a brief but very important at the beginning of 7/8 lunch in room 236 on Thursday December 11. (TQ Dec. 11)

Math Munchers will be open Monday to Thursday this week only.  It will not be available next week, but will start up again in January.  Need more of a challenge in math?  Stop by Math Munchers in January for some complex problems that will challenge you. Take them back to your math class to work on during an appropriate time.  Happy Holidays everyone!  (JD Dec. 11)

7-8 School Play: All 7-8 students interested in being in the 7-8 school play must sign up for an audition time slot outside room 332 before Dec 15th. Please see Mme Beraldin if you have any questions. Auditions are Monday Dec 15 and Wednesday Dec 17th after school. (JB Dec. 17)

Any 7/8 boys and girls interested in trying out for the futsal (indoor soccer) team please sign up in front of Mr. Nicoletti's Physical Education Office. The boys first tryout will be Tuesday morning at 7:30am in the C/D gym. The girls first tryout will be Thursday morning at 7:30am also in the C/D gym. (SM/CN Dec. 11)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

THRIVE: (bible study) gathers every Wednesday in the chapel. If you would like to join we start at 11:40. Grab your lunch first and meet us in the chapel today. (LD Dec. 10)

This is a reminder for the High School Cross Country Team of the team picture TODAY at the beginning of lunch in room 103. (MG Dec. 10)

Math Enrichment:  Reminder to all students involved in math enrichment of our meeting on Wednesday during lunch.  See you there! (NR Dec. 10)

Debate- The next debate meeting will be Monday, December 15 after school in rm 138. Meetings will switch to Mondays from this time onward. All are welcome! (JS Dec. 15)

The STUDENT SERVICES WEBSITE at ss.mths.ca is set up as an information tool, including information about: Community Service Hours Opportunities, Courses, Careers, Graduation, Scholarships, etc.

LF French Tutor (immersion) for a grade 6 boy attending St. Luke elementary school. Looking for help once a week to start.  If interested, please contact Mr. Kay at 613-823-8482. Thank you.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:


Monsignor Paul Baxter is looking for volunteers to help out at their sleigh ride event this coming Friday, December 12th.  Volunteers can email mpbparentcouncil@gmail.com or go to the following link and sign up for specific tasks: http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/146900288052 (KW Dec. 12)

LF for volunteers to work with children at activity stations on Saturday, December 6th (Manotick Family Christmas Party) at the Manotick United Church from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.  You must provide your own transportation

The Ravines Retirement Residence (Prince of Wales and Colonnade) Activities include but not limited to coffee club, walking club, gardening club, social hour, bingo, afternoon tea and outings.  Please contact Sonia Makus, Activity Aide - The Ravines at 613-288-7900 extension 1001.
