Looking Ahead: December 3rd we welcome Eric Walters in the afternoon.
Alpine Ski Team: Skiers in grades 7-12 interested in racing for the Alpine Ski team are invited to sign up outside room 201. Skiers who are intermediate or above are able to try out. The only requirement is that you own your own equipment and are eager to learn how to race. We will have dry-land as well as on-hill training before the race days. The snow is on its way soon! 7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
7/8 Basketball Intramurals will resume Monday (today) in the wood floor gym. Thursdays games will be played. (TF Nov. 20)
7/8 Table Tennis: Interested in trying out for our schools table tennis team? There will be a try out on Tuesday for all interested grade 7s and a try out Wednesday for all interested grade 8s. Try outs will take place from 3:00-4:30, location to be determined. Sign up outside room 231 (BL Nov. 21)
Are you interested in getting involved in the school and helping out as an ambassador?
Ambassadors help out with interview nights, open house, different initiatives around the school such as kindness week, the welcome BBQ in August and much more. Pick up an application in Student Services ASAP. Fill it out, have your parents sign it as some activities take place outside the school day then return to student services by Thursday Nov 20th. HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Survivor is Coming MT - High School students are encouraged to go to mths.ca and apply to be a contestant - 8 High School students will compete against 8 teachers - outwit, outlast & outplay - sign up today! Applications will accepted until Sunday, November 23rd 2014 at midnight. (MR Nov. 23)
Sr. Wrestling (gr. 9 - 12) will begin this week with practices on Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00 pm in the Cafe gym. All interested students are asked to be prompt and changed for practice. See Mr. Liska for more information. (JL Nov. 28)
Attention Igloolik Exchange Members: There will be a mandatory meeting Thursday, November 20th at lunch in the chapel, for the 16 students who have confirmed their position for the Igloolik Exchange in April. Please bring your lunch. (CV Nov. 20)
Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 7:30 am will be the last senior girls volleyball tryout. Remember you must have attended two in order to be considered. (JR Nov. 18)

2014/2015 Boys Varsity Hockey Tryouts: Monday November 17, Walter Baker A 3:30-5: Wednesday November 19, Walter Baker A 3:30-4:30: Thursday November 20, Walter Baker B 3:30-4:30 (First Team Practice) This is FULL CONTACT hockey, full equipment is required. Any Grade 11 or 12 student interested in learning more about opportunities in the Canadian Military are to sign up in Student Services. The presentation will take place November 24, 2014 @ 10:10 in the Multi Purpose room. (JR Nov. 24)

The STUDENT SERVICES WEBSITE at ss.mths.ca is set up as an information tool, including information about: Community Service Hours Opportunities, Courses, Careers, Graduation, Scholarships, etc.
UNB is hosting a parent/student night at the Lord Elgin Hotel on November 27th, at 7 pm.
The session features a presentation and a chance to talk with UNB representatives about admissions, scholarships, student life and more. (KW Nov. 27)
Canadian Education Exchange Foundation - Information evening for interested parents and students taking place Thursday, November 27th, 2014 at 7:30 pm at 440 Albert Street, Ottawa (Former Tech HS building) Room C115. (KW Nov. 27)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
LF for volunteers to work with children at activity stations on Saturday, December 6th (Manotick Family Christmas Party) at the Manotick United Church from1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
