Evening Author Event 

MTHS students are invited to attend a special
evening event to meet all seven authors 
of a Canadian teen series called SEVEN @
www.seventheseries.com The event takes place at St.Paul High School Thursday Oct. 23rd
from  7:00-8:30pm as a launch
event for their sequel series!

Red Maple (7/8 Book Club) and White Pine (HS Book Club) Books have been ordered and will be arriving in the coming weeks. We will start meeting with the Red Maple and White Pine clubs once the books are in.  


ATTENTION ANY STUDENTS WITH MILITARY PARENTS OR RELATIVES/FRIENDS: If you have a military parent or relative/friend that you would like to invite to the Mother Teresa Remembrance Day Service on November 11th please pick up an invitation from Mrs. Landry in the office.  (JK Oct. 24)


Do you have talent??? Perform at the upcoming Talent Show and Coffee House on November 12th 7-9pm. Signups for “Mocha Teresa” are posted outside room 216.  Auditions will be held October 20th – 24th at lunch and after school in the

7/8  ANNOUNCEMENTS

ATTENTION ALL 7-8 Students…  Halloween Dance is Friday, October 31st    from 1:20 to 2:50 in the Cafeteria Gym.  Cost is $2 per student. Is the Halloween Dance not your thing? Fret not!   The library will be available for alternative activities (e.g., computer time, study hall - maybe you want to get a head start on your homework for the weekend?, watch a movie, etc.) No charge for entry to the library.  Please see homeroom representative for more information. HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS


 
Attention High School Students and Aspiring Actors: Those interested in being a part of  Sebastyan Tanasi’s original film, Knights Of The Round Table, are asked to come to an important meeting on Wednesday at the beginning of lunch in room 103. This meeting will provide information for those who are interested in participating in the film. (SM Oct. 22)

Hey Titans! Are you interested in joining a dynamic group of athletes? Do you enjoy team sports that are engaging and invigorating? If so, then the Varsity Girls' Rugby team is for you! Our season will be starting in early November, so keep your eyes and ears open for our first practice. If you have any questions, come by the atrium after school on Tuesday October 28th where some of our veteran players will be selling pizza and available to answer any said questions. (CR Oct. 24)

 
Love is Louder (Anti-Bullying) Sign up for the club will be in front of room 314 all week.  Please sign up if you are interested in improving the school community through positive activities.  We will meet Thursday Oct 23rd at lunch.

Municipal Election - Student Vote

There will be a municipal election student vote on Friday, October 24. High school students will have the opportunity to vote for a mayor, a city councilor and a school trustee. Research the platforms of all candidates so you can make an informed decision. See you at the polls!  (AC Oct. 24)

Any Grade 11 or 12 student interested in learning more about opportunities in the Canadian Military are to sign up in Student Services. The presentation will take place November 24, 2014 @ 10:10 in the Multi Purpose room. (JR Nov. 21)

 Today's (Friday) second Junior Boys Basketball tryout is postponed until next Friday, October 24th 2014 in the wood floor gym from 3:00pm - 4:30pm (MR Oct. 24)

 Belize 2015 - Attention all adventurers who are signing up for the Belize Trip this April 2015!  The participant registration forms are in!  Come and pick up your form from Mrs. Ragaisis in the PE office.  Only 10 spots available - secure your spot asap!  If you love the beach and adventures on the water, this trip is for you! The STUDENT SERVICES WEBSITE at ss.mths.ca is set up as an information tool, including information about: Community Service Hours Opportunities, Courses, Careers, Graduation, Scholarships, etc.

VOLUNTEER  OPPORTUNITIES:
