Volunteers Needed!  We are coordinating our annual West End Basketball League (WEBL) Midget Girls Year-end Tournament and need basketball scorekeepers and timekeepers. The event takes place starting from Friday (April 4th) after school until Sunday (April 6th) evening.  We are looking for high school students and priority will be given to those who can commit to the whole tournament.  This is a great way to pick up a ton of volunteer hours!  For more information please contact: James Turner at vprec@nepeanbluedevils.ca (KW Apr 6)

clip_image018I am hoping to present a puppet show of Little Red Riding Hood at the Ruth E. Dickinson Library during March Break.  For this project I need to have four student volunteers.  I would like the volunteers to review and modify the script to their liking, make props, develop the stage directions, create the musical set list, and perform their production for about 100 children.  The students will earn volunteer hours for this creative work.  The puppets will be made by a professional puppeteer.

In the past, the students involved in our puppet shows have thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  Unfortunately these students will be away over the Spring Break and it is time to bring in another troop of puppeteers.

If any of your students would be interested in this opportunity, please have them contact me by email at

ann-marie.miller@ottawa.ca or by phone at 613-580-2796.

Thanks for your assistance with this,

Annie
