The Annual Scholastic Book Fair is back! From Wednesday, November 20th to Monday, November 25th, come up and visit the Seminar Room in the Learning Commons to view the book fair. Please visit before or after school, at lunch, during your prep or with your teacher. There is a large assortment of items available to purchase, either for yourself or as gifts - Christmas is just over a month away! HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Any grade 11 or 12 student interested in hearing a presentation from the Canadian Forces is asked to sign up in Student Services. The presentation will be December 10, 2013 at 9:30 am and finishing at 10:10 am. The room location will be determined at a later date. HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Players are to return all their equipment after school this Thursday, November 21 in room 119. Please ensure that girdles, practice jerseys and blue game jerseys are washed. Players can keep their white game jerseys. (AC Nov 21)

SENIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Any girls wanting to try out for the Senior Girls Volleyball Team please sign up outside room 320. We will have tryouts as soon as gym time is available. Please be aware that our season starts December 2, 2013 and goes until February. There will be 3 try outs and then the team will be posted. The team will have 2 practices a week until the season starts. (JR Nov 22)
Any Girls that signed up to try out for the Senior Girls Volleyball team there will be tryouts in gym C/D on Tuesday, November 19 and Thursday, November 21 at 3:00 pm and Wednesday, November 20 at 7:30 am. You must make 2 tryouts in order to be considered for the team. Please be prompt and be game ready. See Mrs. Rennick (RM320) if you have any questions. (JR Nov 22)

Manotick Family Christmas Party: Saturday, December 7th, 2013. Looking for volunteers.
The party takes place immediately following the Manotick Lions Christmas Parade. There will be 10 activity stations set up in the basement of the Manotick United Church. Students interested in working with children from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm on that day are asked to contact Donna Ouellette or Laurel Slattery at 613-692-4635. (KW Dec 7)

CANADIAN GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND: will host a gift wrapping station at Rideau Centre, 50 Rideau Street, during all mall hours in the month of December. We are seeking students to fill two or four hour shifts on any given day. The volunteer duty involves dealing with the public and wrapping gifts. There will be adult supervision at all times by a representative of our organization. I can be contacted directly by telephone or email by any students wishing to volunteer.

Senior High School students who maintain an average of 80% and who are fluent in English and French are invited to apply to the House of Commons Page Program for the 2014-2015 academic year. More information is available on the Parliament of Canada Web site. Applications must be submitted online at www.parl.gc.ca/hocpage. Deadline for applications this year is Monday, December 9, 2013. Grad Photos take place from Monday Nov 18 to Friday Nov 22.
It is important that everyone gets a Grad Photo taken as the photo is used in the Yearbook and for the Grad Composite that hangs in the atrium
You have 2 options:
1) You don't want to buy a photo package. Then no appointment necessary, just drop in during your spare, before school, at lunch or after school.
or
2) If you want to purchase a photo package. Book online a sitting session in order to purchase a professionally done Grad Photo.
