WHOLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS/PERFORMERS: Grade 7-12 students are invited to submit a piece of art or media for the CCSTA (Canadian Catholic School Trustees’ Association) “Share Your Gifts Contest”. Students are invited to create a performance, piece of art, or media, which answers the question: “What does Catholic Education mean to you?” Prizes to be won including an ipad mini. Contest ends December 10th, 2013. Please see Ms. Stuart in room 102 to pick up an entry form. (CS Dec 10)
ATTENTION TITANS: So you think you have talent? PROVE IT! MT is having our annual talent show, MT’s So You Think You Got Talent! If you sing, dance, play an instrument, tell jokes, juggle or anything else, sign up!
Sign up sheets for EVERYONE will be outside the dance room. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, December 4th and Thursday, December 5th. And for bands, record your band playing and come out on the same day as normal auditions. Auditions are AFTER SCHOOL in the dance room. INTRAMURALS: 7 and 8 Intramurals are canceled on Wednesday. Wednesday's games will be Thursday and Thursday's games will be Friday. (CN Nov 29)

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
MATH ENRICHMENT: Due to the snow day, math enrichment for grade 9 and 10 will occur on Wed. Dec. 4 at lunch in room 301. Math enrichment for grade 11 and 12 will not occur until the next regularly scheduled session on Dec. 11. Please see the lead teacher if you have any questions. (NR Dec 4)
Debate Club/Team: Treat yourself to an early Christmas gift; come on out to a debate meeting and discover your inner Atticus Finch! Next meeting is Monday, December 2 after school in Rm 138. (JS Dec 2)
ALPINE SKI TEAM: Students interested in the Alpine Race Team are asked to pick up a permission form in room 201. The first dry land training practice is on Wednesday November 27 and the first on-hill practice is on December 18 at Mont Ste. Marie. Intermediate-advanced skiers grades 7-12 are welcome to come out. Any grade 11 or 12 student interested in hearing a presentation from the Canadian Forces is asked to sign up in Student Services. The presentation will be December 10, 2013 at 9:30 am and finishing at 10:10 am. The room location will be determined at a later date. St. Luke school is having a Christmas Dance on Dec. 6: We are looking for student volunteers to help with set up, during the dance and clean up after. Manotick Family Christmas Party: Saturday, December 7th, 2013. Looking for volunteers.
The party takes place immediately following the Manotick Lions Christmas Parade. There will be 10 activity stations set up in the basement of the Manotick United Church. CANADIAN GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND: will host a gift wrapping station at Rideau Centre, 50 Rideau Street, during all mall hours in the month of December. We are seeking students to fill two or four hour shifts on any given day. The volunteer duty involves dealing with the public and wrapping gifts. There will be adult supervision at all times by a representative of our organization. I can be contacted directly by telephone or email by any students wishing to volunteer.

Senior High School students who maintain an average of 80% and who are fluent in English and French are invited to apply to the House of Commons Page Program for the 2014-2015 academic year. More information is available on the Parliament of Canada Web site. Applications must be submitted online at www.parl.gc.ca/hocpage. Deadline for applications this year is Monday, December 9, 2013. Those chosen as Pages will be contracted to work for a period of one year, beginning late August 2014. (KW Dec 9)
