WHOLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
REMEMBRANCE DAY INVITATIONS: Any student who has a parent/relative or family friend who is a past or present member of the Canadian Armed Forces, police, fire fighter, first responder, etc. is asked to come to the office to pick up an invitation to invite this individual to our Remembrance Day Service on Monday November 11th. They are asked to arrive in their uniform and they will be seated at the front of the gymnasium to view the Service. (JK Nov 06)

A CHANCE TO SERVE: There is a first time meeting on Friday (in the chapel) for students interested in joining A.C.T.S. (A Chance to Serve). In the past, this group has been involved in the Board-wide Faith mentorship program, and other faith initiatives in the school. Please see Leanne for more details. (LD Oct 18)

7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
7/8 INTRAMURAL 3 ON 3 BASKETBALL!!! Sign up will be this week during 7/8 lunch. You will need to find a team of 5 players to participate. This year grade 7's will only play against each other and the same goes for grade 8's. If you do not have a team and would like to play, please see Mr. Nicoletti or Mr. Quinn. (CN Oct 18)
7/8 AMBASSADOR: Any grade 7 or 8 student interested in becoming an ambassador for this school year, please come to student services to get more information and an application form. Ambassadors' responsibilities include helping with our guests for Remembrance Day, interview and parent nights, feeder school visits etc...Applications due back to student services on Monday, Oct 21st. The University of Ottawa Geegees Women's Ultimate Frisbee Team is hosting the Canadian University Ultimate Championships here in Ottawa, the weekend of October 18-20th, 2013. We are looking for volunteers to come out and help with the event. This opportunity would be ideal for senior students who want to get involved in the community and get a chance to network with some professionals from the university. There are also 22 other schools from across Canada who will be attending. The event is taking place at the Ben Franklin dome, which is just outside of Barrhaven, making it very convenient for student who live nearby. (KW Oct 18)

Mother Teresa… Did you know…??
The Catholic Church has begun to move Mother Teresa along the steps toward sainthood, and she was beatified in 2003. Her official title is now Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. (legacy.com)
