clip_image016WHOLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

clip_image018YEARBOOKS ARE BEING DISTRIBUTED THIS FRIDAY IN THE ATRIUM BEFORE SCHOOL AND AT LUNCH! The tables will be set up according to grade and alphabetically. 

  • All students who are walkers, are asked to get here as early as possible - from 7:30 onwards, in order to avoid the crush from 8.20 - 8.35.  Yearbook distribution will stop at 8:35.

  • Students who do NOT get their yearbook can come at lunch.  They will not be let out of class. Yeabooks will also be available on Monday before school and at lunch. 

  • This year all yearbooks are personalized. The students need their student ID to collect their yearbook and make sure it matches their personalized name.

  • If students haven't ordered a book they can bring $50 in cash and we will enter them for a lottery for the extra copies. There is no guarantee but they will get their money back if they are not successful. (AP –Jun 17)

clip_image021LAST DAY FOR CAFETERIA SERVICE: The last day for cafeteria service is Friday June 21.  There will be no caf service for June 24 - 26, so all staff and students are reminded to bring a lunch on those days. (SD –Jun 21)

clip_image023PLEASE CLEAR ALL LIBRARY FINES AND ITEMS NEEDING TO BE RETURNED: As the year winds down, please remember to return all library books by the due date.  Fines must be paid before the end of the school year. Students can go to the Learning Commons after morning announcements to clear any outstanding items. (CHV –Jun 21)

clip_image027JUNE CANNED FOOD DRIVE: "By our works we show our faith".  As a final social justice initiative before summer, MT's Invincible Neighbours are hosting a canned food drive for the Barrhaven food cupboard.  They are currently running low on peanut butter, canned pasta, canned beans (kidney, chickpeas, black beans), canned vegetables (peas, carrots, beans and mixed vegetables) and canned fruit. All donations are welcome.  Please bring donations to the MT chapel! The canned food drive runs until June 21st! (JW –Jun 21)

clip_image031CLASH OF THE TITANS: Attention Gr 7/8 students. Wednesday June 19 is our second Clash of the Titans Day! Please remember to bring in your $5 for the BBQ lunch by Monday.  The day will begin with a homeroom breakfast, mass, Melissa's Walk, extended BBQ lunch and end with afternoon activities.  It will be a fun day to celebrate a great year at MT! Which homeroom will be the winners of the Titan Cup? (NC –Jun 18)

ESP PROGRAM AT CARLETON UNIVERSITY: For students that do not receive an Offer of Admissions, Carleton provides an opportunity to attend university next year. The Enriched Support Program is designed for students that are just below the cut off average. Deadline to apply is **CORRECTION** Tuesday July 2. clip_image039COMMENCEMENT FOR GRADS: The commencement ceremony takes place on Thursday, June 27th in the cafetorium at MTHS.  Students can pick up their cap & gown from the tuck shop beginning at 10:00am.  This provides the opportunity for family photos.  Students must meet in the wood floor gymnasium by12:00pm.  Doors to the cafetorium will be open, for parent seating, at 12:15pm.  Guests must have a ticket to attend the ceremony.  The gown and stole must be returned to the tuck shop after the ceremony, at which time the students are given their diplomas.
