7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
PADDLE BALL: There will be a boy's try-out for Paddle Ball (mini-tennis) on Thursday, May 23rd at 7:20 a.m. in the caf gym. Girls who missed today's try-out can see Mr. Shannon in room 333. (KS –May 22)
GIRLS SOFTBALL: Any 7/8 girls interested in trying out for the girls softball team are asked to sign up outside room 333. (KS –May 24)
7/8 GIRLS GAELIC FOOTBALL: The 7/8 girls gaelic football will be holding tryouts Thursday May 23 after school from 3 til 4:15. Not sure what gaelic football is, come out anyway and learn how to play. (MP –May 23)
7-8 BOYS SOFTBALL: Please sign up outside of room 332 if you are interested in trying out for the grade 7-8 boys softball team. (JB –May 24)

DEBATE CLUB: Debate Club will happen next Tuesday, May 21. Please pop by room 138 to discuss potential debate against another school. (JS –May 21)
CHOIR PRACTICE SCHEDULE - Preparation for the last mass of the year. Practice dates are Wednesday May 8th, Tuesday May 14, and Tuesday May 21st. There will be a practice the morning of mass as well. All practices are held in room 119 at lunch. Everyone is encouraged to attend to help make this a spectacular final mass. (SS –May 21)

BRIGHT MATH CAMP for motivated bright and gifted students entering in fall 2013 into grades 7-8-9.
Not-for-profit camp for the promotion of mathematics. The classes on recreational mathematics will be held at Carleton University, from July 8 to 12 and July 22 to 26, 2013. THE NEPEAN BMX ASSOCIATION is a non-profit association which has recently constructed a BMX race track in Barrhaven. The Grand Opening of the facility is on June 1st, therefore they are searching for student volunteers to help with track maintenance each weekend leading up to the event.
