clip_image004POPCORN THIS FRIDAY AT LUNCH:  White Pine Club will be selling popcorn during both lunches on Friday, February 8.  $1.OO/bag.  (CHV –Feb 8)

clip_image006DON'T THROW YOUR PALMS OUT!  If you have blessed palms/palm crosses from last Palm Sunday, please bring them to the chapel where they can be turned into ashes for our Ash Wednesday service. (JW –Feb 8)

clip_image008I MATTER YOU MATTER IS BACK WITH OUR FAMOUS VALENTINE GRAMS, just in time for this romantic season. These chocolate covered strawberries will be sold for 2 dollars per treat, so you let that special someone know how you feel.  All the proceeds go to the heart and stroke foundation! (CD –Feb 12)

clip_image010PIZZA!  The prom committee will be selling pizza for $2 a slice on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, from now until the end of April. Thank you in advance for your support. There will be NO SALES during Exams (week of 28-Feb.1, 2013). (JR –Apr 30)

clip_image014BASKETBALL TEAM: Those Grade 7/8 Boys interested in trying out for the basketball team are asked to sign up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board outside Mr. Quinn's gym office. The list we be posted there until this Friday afternoon. If you have any questions or concerns see Mr. Rowley in room 136. (MR – Feb 8)

 

HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

SUBS MEETING: Could all Stand up to Bullying members please meet briefly in the Career Centre off of student services on Friday, Feb 8th at lunch for a brief meeting regarding Kindness week. We will also meet on Monday in the chapel at lunch for our regular weekly meeting. Everyone is welcome:) (TC –Feb 8)

clip_image016MEDIEVAL TIMES/TORONTO TRIP: This is an important reminder to all students planning on attending the Toronto Trip to Medieval Times and the ROM, that payment and permission forms are due ASAP to Mrs. Galbraith and at the VERY LATEST Friday Feb 8.  Only 5 are confirmed and we need 20! (MG –Feb 8)

VARSITY GIRLS FUTSAL: Any girl interested in trying out for the Varsity Girls Futsal Team is asked to meet dressed and ready to play in the wood floor gym on Wednesday, February 13th from 3-4:30pm SHARP!  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to see Ms. McSwiggan. (SM –Feb 13)

clip_image018ATTENTION ALL JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS: There will be NO meeting on Friday at lunch. We will have a practice Tuesday, February 12 from 3-5 pm and Thursday, February 14 from 3- 4:15 pm. Our first game is Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at home. We got a new schedule and our games were pushed back a week. Please come and see me if you have any questions. I will hand out the uniforms at practice on Thursday. (JR –Feb 14)

HOCKEY HOODIES: Orders are in for any high school hockey players that ordered a shirt or hoodie.  They can be picked up in room 309. All high school girls' hockey players are asked to return their jerseys ASAP to Mr. Gervasi in room 309. (MG – Feb 15)

clip_image023ALGONQUIN COLLEGE VISIT: A representative from Algonquin College will be in the Atrium at lunch on Monday, February 11 to answer any questions you have about Algonquin College or your application. (JH –Feb 11)

clip_image025MT SCHOOL LETTER: Every year at the Graduation Mass the MT School Letter is awarded to students who have met the criteria. Students must complete the application which includes teacher signatures from teachers that supervised various activities. Now would be a good time to begin the application process. The application and criteria is found on the Student Services website at ss.mths.ca.  (JH -Feb 15)

UNIVERSITY OF NEW BRUNSWICK is hosting a "Transition to UNB" student and parent information evening on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 7 pm at the Lord Elgin Hotel.  Learn about programs, campus life, financial aid and scholarships.  Information is posted in the atrium. (KW –Feb 21)
