POPCORN AT LUNCH ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22: White Pine Club will be selling popcorn during both lunches on Friday, February 22. $1.00/bag. (CHV –Feb 22)
CHOIR PRACTICE: Friday February 22 in room 119 at lunch. Everyone must attend to practice song(s) for the Feb 28th performance at lunch. Bring water bottles, lunch and blue folder if you have one. (SS –Feb 22)

PENNIES FOR LENT: Did you know that 2500 pennies can provide clean water for one person for life?? During Lent, MT will be collecting pennies to help people in the developing communities. In the atrium, students can put their pennies in the Penny Box. There will be slots for individual homerooms. So, bring in your pennies and let’s see how many people we can provide clean water for!! (Mar 8)
PIZZA! The prom committee will be selling pizza for $2 a slice on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, from now until the end of April. Thank you in advance for your support. (JR –Apr 30)
7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS 
7/8 BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM TRYOUTS: Tryouts for the Grade 7/8 basketball team begin after school on Tuesday, February 19th 2013 from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM and continue on Friday, February 22nd 2013 from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. All interested boys must attend these tryouts (NOTE: If the Senior Boys Basketball team wins their playoff game on Thursday night, February 14th 2013 - Tuesday's tryout will be cancelled and Friday will be the only tryout date as the season tips off on Tuesday, March 5th 2013) (MR –Feb 22)
HOBBIT EVENT IN THE LEARNING COMMONS: Come join Bilbo and friends in the Learning Commons on Tuesday, February 26 for an unexpected journey. Enter the Hobbit Hole and Gollum’s Cave and take part in a riddle game, draw a goblin, spell your name in Runes, and take part in the Hobbit Jeopardy game. Sign up this week in the Learning Commons. CHECK OUAC AND/OR OCAS! It is very important for Grade 12 students to log in to OUAC - University Application and/or OCAS - College Application, to verify first semester final marks against your report card. If there are discrepancies, see your Guidance Counselor. (JH –Feb 22)
GRADUATING STUDENTS – POLICIES AND DEADLINES: In the past, it has been the practice of some graduating students to leave their Community Service Hours to the last month of school, thereby jeopardizing their graduation in June. As a result, the following policies are now in place at Mother Teresa:
· PROM: All graduating students must have completed their 40 hours of community service if they intend to attend their graduation dance. The earlier the better! Hours must be submitted to Student Services by Friday May 10th, 2013.
- GRADUATION: In order to attend the Graduation Ceremony, students must have the 40 hours of community service completed by Monday June 10, 2013.
Forms are available in Student Services, the main office, or on the Mother Teresa website. (JH –Mar 1)
