WHOLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
BOOKFACE CONTEST: Vote for your favourite 'BookFace' on display outside the TLC. Ballots are available @ TLC. For every ballot submitted, your name goes into a draw for an Indigo giftcard. Contest ends Friday, December 14th. (CHV –Dec 14)
MOVIE NIGHT!! The MT Student Council will be hosting a Christmas movie night on Tuesday, December 18th. We will be playing the movie Elf! As we gear up for the holidays, we ask that everyone in attendance for the movie night please bring at least one item of non-perishable food, so that we can brighten up someone else’s Christmas this year. Doors open at 7pm and popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase! Hope to see you all there! (NR –Dec 18)
SPIRIT WEEK! Our Christmas Spirit Week will happen from Dec. 17th to Dec. 21st. Monday is Comfy Day, Tuesday is Ugly Christmas Sweater Day, Wednesday is Christmas Headgear Day, Thursday is Battle of the Grades (Gr. 7 - yellow, Gr. 8 - Green, Gr. 9 - red, Gr. 10 - blue, Gr. 11 - white, Gr. 12 - black), and Friday is Bundle-Up Day. Show your Christmas and Titan spirit!! (NR –Dec 21)
7/8 ANNOUNCEMENTS
FUTSAL: All the 7 and 8 students who have tried out for futsal are asked to please check the schedule for next week. All boys are still welcomed to the Tuesday practice after school, however the girls need to be on the list to come out to the final tryouts. (CN –Dec 17)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY AT MT: Here's an opportunity to collect community service hours right here at Mother Teresa High School during senior lunch (11:30 am to 12:00 noon) on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please sign up with Mrs. Watkinson in Student Services. We will be meeting in the Career Centre to cut milk bags and prepare them for the next step in making mats for Haiti. It's so easy..... Volunteer tab to search for Volunteer opportunities. There are numerous volunteer opportunities during the school year. At times, there are too many to post in the written announcements. GRADE 12’s / GRADS

GRAD PHOTO RETAKES will not be taking place this Wednesday, December 12th. We have changed the date to Wednesday, January 9th. Whether you were absent or would like a retake, book your appointment on line - visit www.bookmygrad.ca. Our school code is MTH. Yearbook photos are free of charge, but do require a booking time. Extra pamphlets are available in Student Services. (KW –Dec 14)
GRADUATING STUDENTS – POLICIES AND DEADLINES: In the past, it has been the practice of some graduating students to leave their Community Service Hours to the last month of school, thereby jeopardizing their graduation in June. As a result, the following policies are now in place at Mother Teresa:
· PROM: All graduating students must have completed their 40 hours of community service if they intend to attend their graduation dance. The earlier the better! Hours must be submitted to Student Services by Friday May 11th, 2012.
- GRADUATION: In order to attend the Graduation Ceremony, students must have the 40 hours of community service completed by Friday June 11, 2012.
Forms are available in Student Services, the main office, or on the Mother Teresa website. (SD –Dec 14)
ALGONQUIN COLLEGE will be back to Mother Teresa High School during Senior Lunch Time in the atrium on Monday, December 17th, for any questions you may have about registration process, programs, etc.... (KW –Dec 17)
JEANS DAY: Friday Dec 14th, and Friday Dec 21st will be Christmas Collection Jeans Days! Our contributions will go toward our Christmas Baskets, for families in our community. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. (SD –Dec 21)
